"Oh Executive President Doningman…" Anna faked a calm tone. "...I hate to have bothered you."
He shook his head, a polite smile on his face as his hands moved towards the peonies. Coyl plucked a bud off its stick, sniffing it before saying. "Are peonies your favorite because of the scent?"
Anna, desperate to have him out of her space quickly agreed despite the falsehood. "Yes, very lovely scent. I am obsessed with it." He kept staring and she picked the bundles off her table, taking a long sniff. Anna wore a smile as fake as a knock off rolex. "Obssessed.
Coyl's polite smile changed into a neutral look as he dropped the broken petals into the bin and turned back to her. "The flowers are a gift from my father and I."
She softened just a tiny bit even if the uncomfortable feeling was still there. Perhaps she had judged him because of his past. "Thank you very much." Her tone was sincere this time and even Coyl felt it.
