After stepping inside the basement, he was instantly rushed by Seraphina and Lia.
"Was there a monster above?" Lia asked instantly, not even letting him take a second to breathe.
"There weren't," Lucian answered, making her exhale in relief.
But then she noticed his changed clothes and his messy hair.
Her eyes narrowed a little.
Lucian's hair was still slightly damp, strands sticking out from where he had hurriedly dried it. His shirt was different from the one he had worn earlier, and the faint scent of soap lingered around him.
"Did you take a bath?" Lia asked curiously, her tone carrying genuine confusion.
She wondered how he could bathe in such a situation when there were monsters lingering outside their house.
Lucian stiffened as he nodded slightly.
"Yes, I was a bit sweaty after the goblin's memories."
He said, making them nod slowly as they noticed the suitcase he had brought along with him.
