Chapter 24 - Chapter 23: Back to School

The next morning…

Venkatesh was busy placing luggage into the car, his movements quick yet slightly tense, as if he didn't want to waste even a single moment.

Nikhil and Aliya walked up to him, exchanging a glance before Aliya finally asked,

"So… you all are leaving?"

Venkatesh looked at them and nodded.

"Yeah. I have to get back to my job. I can't just keep taking days off."

He paused for a moment, his expression turning serious.

"And besides… the danger in this village has increased way too much."

A few moments later, Shakshi and the others came out, carrying their bags.

Shakshi looked at her parents and her brother, her eyes filled with concern.

"You all should come with us to the city… this place isn't safe anymore."

Her mother gently placed her hand on Shakshi's cheek and smiled softly.

"No matter what happens… this is still our home."

"How can we just leave it behind?"

"Don't worry… nothing will happen to us."

Aarav, after placing his luggage in the car, walked over and stood beside Shakshi's mother.

"Don't worry, Nani. Now that I know the way here, I'll keep visiting."

A playful smile appeared on his face.

"After all… I have a share in this property too, right… Mama ji?"

Shakshi's uncle glared at him, clearly annoyed, but didn't say a word.

Aarav smirked again.

"Come on, Nani… look at him. Doesn't seem like he plans on giving me anything."

"It feels like he just wants to kick us out as soon as possible."

Shakshi's mother chuckled and gently patted Aarav's head.

"He's just shy when it comes to speaking."

"Now stop teasing him and focus on your studies… and take care of yourself."

Then she turned to Kirti.

"You too."

Kirti smiled politely.

"Yes, Nani."

Soon after…

They left the village.

As the car moved forward, the scenery slowly changed, and within some time, they were finally out of the village.

Kirti stretched slightly and said,

"That was… one spooky adventure."

"Never thought I'd experience something like that."

Venkatesh nodded.

"Yeah… this whole experience just opened my eyes to a hidden world full of mysteries."

He glanced at Shakshi.

"Why didn't you ever tell me about your village?"

Shakshi sighed.

"I thought all of it was just rumors."

"Every village has spooky stories… how was I supposed to know they were real?"

Aarav leaned back lazily and grinned.

"You guys may not know… but I had a lot of fun."

"I've even thought about my superhero costume."

Kirti rolled her eyes.

"Idiot."

After nearly two hours of travel…

They stopped at a roadside dhaba to rest and have some breakfast.

Aarav quietly slipped behind the dhaba.

The moment he turned—

He stopped.

Standing behind him…

Was Vanshika.

But this time—

She looked completely different.

A modern outfit.

A red top, black jeans, and a crimson jacket.

A faint, dangerous aura still surrounded her.

Aarav narrowed his eyes.

"Why are you following me?"

Vanshika looked at him calmly.

"I just wanted to know… what your next plan is."

Aarav shrugged.

"I don't have a plan."

"Everything ahead… depends on you."

"I can only show the path… walking on it is your job."

He smirked slightly.

"What? Can't you even defeat a single Satan without me?"

Vanshika's eyes sharpened.

"I can defeat him."

She paused.

Then her expression softened slightly.

"Before leaving… I just wanted to meet you once."

For a moment—

She hesitated.

Then…

She bowed her head slightly.

"Thank you… for everything."

"You pulled me back from the darkness."

"Even if I become the Hell Queen one day…"

"You will always be my little lord… in my heart."

Before Aarav could react—

She stepped closer.

And kissed him lightly on the cheek.

Aarav froze.

Completely stunned.

Seeing his expression, Vanshika chuckled softly.

"See you soon… my little lord."

The next moment—

She turned into a crimson light…

And disappeared.

Aarav slowly touched his cheek, still processing what just happened.

"Women… are so hard to understand…"

He muttered.

"Maybe it's because of my cultivation technique…"

"But… she might actually become the Hell Queen."

He looked at the sky thoughtfully.

"In the original story… she was kind-hearted."

"But time… corruption… and dark energy turned her evil."

He sighed.

"I guess… she finally came to her senses."

"I wonder how Mannu is doing…"

Somewhere… in another timeline—

Mannikarnika was married to Maharaj Gangadhar Rao of Jhansi.

Everything unfolded just like history—

But this time…

She already knew the future.

And because of that—

She changed it.

Every tragedy.

Every loss.

Everything.

In 1857—

A devastating war still took place.

But this time…

She won.

She protected Jhansi.

Yet, a year later—

War broke out again.

This time—

Everyone died.

After losing the war—

Mannikarnika disappeared with her children.

No one knew where she went.

She lived a quiet life in secrecy.

But she didn't stop fighting.

Instead—

She prepared two weapons against the British.

Her children.

And because she vanished…

History recorded everything as it originally was.

Lack of information.

And British pressure—

Hid the truth.

The next day…

Aarav stood in front of his school, wearing his uniform, his bag hanging on one shoulder.

He stared at the school gate.

Lost in thought.

Kirti walked up behind him.

"What happened, duffer?"

Aarav sighed.

"Now that I'm basically a superhero… do I really need to study?"

Kirti didn't even hesitate.

"Yeah, you don't."

Aarav's eyes lit up—

But before he could smile—

She continued,

"Go work as a daily wage laborer at some construction site."

Then she walked inside.

Aarav sighed again.

"While Vanshika is probably causing chaos somewhere…"

"And I'm here… giving exams."

Suddenly—

SCREEECH!

A loud braking sound echoed.

A bus had stopped right in front of the school.

Aarav turned his head—

Just in time to see—

A boy jump out of the bus window.

Perfect landing.

Right in the school ground.

The boy casually waved at the passengers.

"Best of luck for your exams!" everyone inside the bus shouted together.

"Thanks!" he replied with a grin and ran inside.

Aarav blinked.

"…Yeah. Definitely a protagonist."

"But which one?"

He couldn't tell.

Inside the bus—

The passengers began talking among themselves.

"That kid is incredibly agile… way more than my sons."

A woman sighed.

"My son is so weak… he just studies all day."

A man suddenly pointed at the floor.

"But what about this thief?"

Everyone looked down.

A man was tied up.

Unconscious.

Another man spoke,

"How did that boy catch him? He had a knife."

Someone replied,

"Forget that… let's just take him to the police station."

Meanwhile—

The boy rushed to check the roll number list.

After finding his number, he calmly walked toward his exam room.

Aarav was heading in the same direction when he overheard something.

The boy was muttering to himself, confused.

"When that thief stabbed me… I clearly got injured."

"There was blood…"

"Then how did the wound heal?"

"Since that incident… something feels different…"

Aarav heard everything.

But he didn't react.

He simply checked his roll number—

And walked toward his classroom.

As if…

Nothing had happened.

But deep inside—

He knew.

Something interesting had just entered the story.

When Aarav entered his allotted exam room, several students were already seated at their desks, their faces buried in last-minute revisions or silent prayers.

The atmosphere was tense.

Quiet.

Heavy.

Aarav casually walked up to the examiner and showed his hall ticket. After a brief glance, the examiner handed him the question paper and answer sheet.

Without wasting time, Aarav moved to his seat and sat down.

He looked at the paper.

And then—

A faint smirk appeared on his face.

Meanwhile, in another classroom…

The boy from earlier sat calmly at his desk.

He picked up his pen and began writing his details.

Name: Arjun Sharma

Roll Number: —

His handwriting was neat. Steady.

Almost too steady.

Right behind him…

Kirti was seated.

Her eyes casually drifted toward him—

And then stopped.

She noticed something.

A faint stain.

Blood.

Near his abdomen.

And a small cut on his shirt.

Her expression changed slightly.

Leaning forward a bit, she whispered,

"Did you get hurt?"

Arjun turned back, confused.

Kirti subtly gestured toward his shirt with her eyes.

Arjun understood.

He gave a small nod.

"Yeah… just a small scratch."

Before the conversation could continue—

The examiner's sharp voice cut through the room.

"No talking."

Both of them immediately turned back and focused on their papers.

Time passed.

Arjun was fast.

Too fast.

Within thirty minutes—

He had already completed his entire paper.

But rules were rules.

He couldn't leave yet.

Another thirty minutes.

With nothing to do.

He sighed.

Resting his head on the desk—

He closed his eyes.

And then—

Darkness.

He found himself standing in a desolate land.

No life.

No sound.

Just emptiness.

Before he could process anything—

CRACK!

The ground beneath his feet shattered.

His eyes widened.

He started falling—

Faster.

Deeper.

And then—

Splash.

He fell straight into a pool of molten lava.

"AAHHHH!!"

Back in reality—

Arjun suddenly rolled off his desk and crashed onto the floor, screaming.

The entire classroom was thrown into chaos.

Students panicked.

Some stood up.

Some stepped back.

The examiner rushed toward him.

"Are you okay?!"

Arjun sat up, breathing heavily, sweat dripping down his face.

He took a deep breath.

Then another.

"I'm… fine."

"Just a bad dream."

Trying to maintain his composure, he stood up, submitted his paper, and walked out of the classroom.

Outside…

The air felt different.

Lighter.

He walked toward the school garden and sat down on an empty bench.

His mind was still disturbed.

That dream…

It didn't feel normal.

A few moments later—

A vanilla milkshake was suddenly held in front of him.

Arjun blinked.

Confused.

He turned his head—

And saw Kirti standing there, casually sipping her own milkshake.

She extended the other one toward him.

"You okay?"

Arjun took it.

"Thanks."

He inserted the straw and took a sip.

But inside—

He felt embarrassed.

"That was… nothing."

"I just stayed up late last night… fell asleep in class."

"And had a bad dream."

He tried to brush it off.

Kirti nodded casually.

"Understood."

"It happens sometimes."

She extended her hand.

"Kirti."

Arjun looked at her for a moment, then shook her hand.

"Arjun."

Suddenly—

An arm wrapped around both their shoulders.

"And I'm Aarav. Nice to meet you."

Both of them turned.

Aarav stood there with his usual carefree expression.

Kirti immediately pushed his arm away.

"What are you doing, you idiot?"

"Don't you have any manners?"

Aarav blinked.

"Manners… what a nice word."

Then he casually asked,

"So, how was the exam?"

Kirti crossed her arms.

"Better than yours."

Aarav grinned.

"Wanna bet?"

"Whoever gets lower marks buys pizza for the other."

Kirti didn't hesitate.

She shook his hand instantly.

"Deal."

Arjun stood there, feeling slightly out of place.

This energy…

This dynamic…

It wasn't something he was used to.

"I… have something to do."

"I'll take my leave."

Without waiting, he turned and walked away.

Aarav watched him leave and then looked at Kirti.

"You should really work on your behavior."

"See? He left because of you."

He sighed and started walking away.

THUD!

Kirti kicked his leg from behind.

Aarav lost balance and fell straight to the ground.

"Ow!"

Kirti glared at him.

"This is your fault, you idiot."

With that, she turned and walked off.

Aarav groaned, getting up while hopping on one leg.

"Hey! At least wait for me!"

And just like that—

The chaos continued.

Elsewhere…

In a distant village—

Night had fallen.

A deep, unsettling silence blanketed the land.

At the entrance of the village, an old wooden board creaked softly in the wind.

Durgavalli.

Inside, every house was quiet.

People slept peacefully, unaware of what was about to unfold.

Suddenly—

The sky above the entire village lit up.

A massive crimson sphere appeared, glowing ominously.

It pulsed—

And then began forming an intricate, otherworldly design.

A formation.

A ritual circle.

The air turned heavy.

Unnatural.

And then—

Something terrifying happened.

From every single person in the village—

A faint crimson energy began to rise.

Slowly at first.

Then violently.

Streams of energy were pulled out of their bodies, rising into the sky and gathering into that massive formation.

The entire village had become a sacrifice.

At the center of the village—

On top of a large rock—

Vanshika sat in a meditative posture.

Her eyes closed.

Her expression calm.

As the crimson energy gathered—

It began flowing into her body.

At first, it was slow.

Gentle.

Then—

It intensified.

A rotating chakra formed within her body.

Spinning.

Glowing.

Flowing with power.

Moments later—

The chakra darkened.

Filled with dense, terrifying dark energy.

Then—

A second chakra formed.

Then a third.

One by one—

Seven chakras manifested within her body.

Each one stronger than the last.

Each one radiating immense power.

And when the seventh chakra stabilized—

Vanshika opened her eyes.

BOOM!

A massive explosion of energy erupted from her body, shaking the entire village.

A smile slowly formed on her lips.

"Wow…"

"This village really made me a Hell Queen."

The next moment—

She vanished.

Shooting forward like a crimson comet.

Deep within the mountains—

A dark cave echoed with terrifying roars.

Vanshika appeared near its entrance.

She tilted her head slightly and smiled.

"Hello, Satan."

"Nice to meet you… again."

ROOOAAARRR!!

A massive, red-skinned creature charged toward the entrance at terrifying speed—

Only to crash into an invisible barrier.

THUD!

The impact echoed loudly.

Now visible—

The creature was monstrous.

A giant body.

Sharp fangs.

Clawed hands.

A long, whipping tail.

It roared again, shaking the surroundings.

Vanshika smirked.

"Wow… you really turned into some kind of hungry demon."

"Honestly… you're not even that scary anymore."

Without hesitation—

She raised her hand.

A crimson arrow formed instantly.

Condensed.

Sharp.

Deadly.

She flicked her fingers—

And the arrow shot forward.

It pierced through the invisible seal effortlessly—

And struck straight into Satan's heart.

ROOOAAARRR!!

The demon staggered.

Confusion filled its eyes.

"How…?!"

"How is this possible?!"

Vanshika stepped forward slowly.

Her eyes glowing faintly.

"Nothing is impossible… in front of my Little Lord."

The next moment—

She extended her hand.

And began pulling.

Not physically—

But spiritually.

Energy.

Life force.

Everything.

Satan's power was ripped out of his body and absorbed into hers.

His roars weakened.

Then faded.

Then—

Silence.

As the last of his energy merged into her—

All seven chakras within Vanshika ignited simultaneously.

Her aura transformed.

Evolved.

Ascended.

She had become—

An Immortal Hell Queen.

For a moment, she stood there quietly.

Then she smiled.

"Before conquering Hell…"

"I should meet the others."

"And maybe… spend a little more time here."

Humming softly—

She turned and walked away.

As if none of it mattered.

Meanwhile—

In another dimension—

A realm known as Hell—

A massive pillar suddenly cracked—

And shattered.

CRASH!

Demons nearby froze in shock.

One of them trembled.

"W-What…?!"

"Lord Satan… is dead?!"

"How is this possible?!"

He immediately turned to another demon.

"Quick! Inform the King!"

Inside a grand, dark palace—

The Demon King sat on his throne.

Before anyone could even speak—

He already knew.

His eyes slowly opened.

"…So, Satan is dead."

Behind him stood his assistant demon.

The king spoke calmly,

"Vanshika has grown quite powerful."

"I didn't expect her to defeat Satan."

The assistant hesitated before asking,

"Then… will you hand over Hell to her?"

The Demon King's expression darkened.

"Impossible."

"If we hand over Hell to a woman…"

"The gods will laugh at us."

"They'll see us as weak…"

"And once again, try to oppress us."

His voice turned cold.

"No…"

"We need a new warrior."
