CHAPTER 86
~Xade's POV~
The Vermillion Bar was already alive when I arrived.
Music pulsed faintly through the walls as soon as I stepped out of the car, the steady rhythm blending with the low hum of conversations spilling from inside the building.
Neon lights reflected off the glossy pavement while well-dressed patrons moved in and out of the entrance like they had nowhere better to be tonight.
Normally, a place like this would have been the perfect distraction, just like in the past when I visited here.
Tonight, however, I had no interest in the atmosphere, the women, or the drinks, just business.
That was the only reason I was here.
I walked through the entrance with confidence, my expression neutral as one of the staff members immediately recognised me and approached with a respectful nod.
"Alpha Xade," he greeted.
I gave a small nod in return. "I believe I'm expected."
"Yes, sir," he replied quickly. "The client reserved the VIP room upstairs."
