Chapter 43: Game Over
The story continues from where it left off.
Navi:
Star, finish the monster quickly. I need to prepare my next plan.
Star:
Okay.
Star's green-colored knife began to glow. She activated three skills at the same time—Poison, Assistant, and Shadow.
Using all three skills together confused the monster completely.
First, she used her Shadow skill, attacking the monster's shadow directly. The damage reflected onto the monster's real body.
Monster:
It screamed loudly as blood burst out of its body. But in the very next moment, it healed itself.
Star:
She was slightly shocked. This monster had a self-healing ability.
She was also starting to feel exhausted.
Star:
I need to finish this quickly… all three of my skills are consuming too much energy. At this rate, I might pass out soon.
Monster:
It reacted instantly and launched a powerful attack with its weapon.
Star had to move away from its shadow.
The monster had already understood—letting her get close to its shadow was dangerous. So it kept attacking, trying to maintain distance.
Star was barely managing to dodge. The impact of the monster's attacks was so strong that the ground beneath them began to crack.
Star activated another skill—
Assistant Skill.
Her movement speed increased drastically. She began circling the monster at incredible speed, striking it repeatedly with her knife in between movements.
Then she prepared her final attack.
Her energy was almost gone. She combined all three skills for one last move.
Her green poison-infused knife struck the monster's shadow—
—and then, in a cool and calm manner, she moved behind Navi.
Monster:
Your weak attacks can't kill me! And why are you leaving in the middle of the fight?
Star:
She looked back once, giving a soft yet cold smile.
"Game over."
Then she turned her face away.
Monster:
It didn't understand why she was walking away.
As it stepped forward to attack—
its body suddenly froze.
It couldn't move.
The blue energy within its body started turning green. Poison began to spill out of its mouth as its entire body slowly turned green.
Only then did it realize what had happened.
Monster (shocked):
How… did you do this…?
The arrogance on its face vanished, replaced by pure fear. It looked like it wanted to beg for its life—but not a single word came out.
Its eyes turned completely red—
—and in the next moment—
BOOM!
Its entire body exploded.
The hunters watching were stunned… and then filled with excitement.
Hunters:
This is the power of an S-Rank Hunter!
Navi:
(Arriving at the hospital, shocked)
Miss Piece… what are you doing here? I told you not to come.
Piece:
I'm not here. Look at the building in front—that's just a clone.
(Cold tone)
Mr. Zhao, when did I ever say I would listen to you?
Navi (Zhao):
Can you leave this place? (serious)
Piece:
Fold your hands and request me properly… then I might consider it.
Star:
(Standing behind, filled with anger)
She releases her killing intent—green in color. The air becomes heavy.
Piece:
Looks like someone didn't like what I said.
Navi:
He pulls the knife from Star's waist and attacks the clone.
You talk too much. Being arrogant about your power isn't a good thing.
The clone slowly disappears.
Piece:
(Angry)
You shouldn't have done that…
A terrifying killing aura erupts from a distant building.
Then—
She jumps from the top of the building.
As she lands—
BOOM!
The ground shakes violently. Everyone nearby is terrified.
Piece:
(Walking out of the smoke)
You won't survive now.
Other Hunters:
Isn't that Miss Piece? Why does she look so angry?
Is she mad at the team leader?
Fear spreads among the hunters.
She is the President's personal secretary…
The leader is in serious trouble now.
The ground beneath them begins to melt, turning into lava. Standing in the middle of the burning ground, Miss Piece glares at Navi (Zhao) with intense rage.
Star:
She feels the overwhelming pressure.
Can I even fight her right now?
It feels like she could burn me to ashes…
Her breathing becomes heavy.
Navi (Zhao):
He places his hand on Star's shoulder.
Don't worry. Leave the hospital area. I'll handle this. Don't let anyone come inside.
Then he turns to the hunters—
There's nothing to fear. Return to your positions. This is my order.
Star:
Sir… can you really handle her? She's extremely powerful.
Navi (Zhao):
Don't worry. I admit… the opponent is strong.
But remember one thing—
Every opponent I've faced so far… has been strong.
Yet none of them could defeat me…
and none of them could kill me.
I'll handle her too.
This fight is mine.
And I'm the one who will end it.
