[3rd POV]
"So we were thinking that maybe you could call some sort of...I don't know, an assembly or something like that? Call everyone together, so nobody knows what is happening except for us?" Haley said, as the woman hummed.
"I could do that, yes. I already was prepared to excuse everyone from a class or two, so that doesn't make much of a difference and isn't out of my expectations" Helen replied after she contemplated the idea.
"Does any of the teachers know of us being here?" Billie asked, realizing that this would be a good question. If they didn't know, then it would make the surprise way better, and much more likely to be an actual surprise.
She knew that there was at least one teacher that would spoil it because they can't help but gossip. Probably some old lady named Sarah or some shit.
"Nope. I figured that the best way for this to go well was making sure nobody knew except me. I was going to tell one of my teachers, mostly because he noticed that I have been acting a little..strange. But, I managed to get him to drop it" Helen replied with a shake of her head.
"Thats good. I would have hated to have the surprise ruined" Haley said, glad to hear that. It would have ruined pretty much the entire event, and made things difficult.
Mostly because the paparazzi would almost certainly cause some serious issues, which was why Billie soon asked her next question.
"And you've already prepared for the inevitable case of the paparazzi finding out, right?" Billie asked the woman, which she once again nodded to.
"Of course. Besides having security, they would also be trespassing if they tried anything funny, which would be an immediate call to the police. Beyond that, I'll have to make sure the kids know not to post anything on this until later in the day" Helen said, before continuing.
"They should hopefully listen, as I believe they will understand why you don't want anyone to hear about the two of you until the end of the school day. They all want to be stars afterall, and at the very least, I am certain that our more...popular students know not to post anything" Helen continued, as the two nodded.
"That should be good enough. Oh, and maybe we can just threaten them that if they do post anything then we won't come back in the future? I'm sure that would cause a lot of them to restrain themselves" Haley suggested.
"Excellent idea. Maybe don't...threaten them, but just suggest that they shouldn't post anything until later, and that if they do, it'll make it a bit more...complicated to return" Helen replied, agreeing with her idea, as it was a good one.
"Good idea. Using the word threat will most likely just make them post some bs article about how we threatened to have them harmed or something stupid" Billie said, agreeing that the word "threat" was not a good one to use when trying to get rid of paparazzi.
They would do ANYTHING for a scoop, and they would just love to make up bullshit lies and accusations in order to get a front page. It was the whole reason why she never interacted with them in the first place, because she knew that the moment she said one word that they thought sounded out of place, or one world that was "wrong" they would leap at the chance to have her vilified.
She really really hated them.
"Oh, and I figure that after we do our little...preformance, we can maybe do a guest lecture at a class or two? Whichever ones you think deserve it, at least" Billie added, which got an even more excited look from Helen.
"That sounds like a fantastic idea!" Helen replied excitedly, not even bothering to hide how happy she was.
Billie couldn't tell if she was excited because of all the positive publicity she would get by having THE Billie Eilish lecture and perform at her school, or if it was because she wanted to actually sit in on the lecture, just on the off chance she learns something from the biggest artist in the world.
"Great. Is there anything either of us need to do in order to prep for this? Or are you all good without our help?" Billie asked.
"Hmm, I don't think I need anything. I should be able to have everything good and ready by the time they're out of class. I'll just need to talk with a few of my staff in order to make sure they understand a few things. Oh, and of course talk to the security just in case a student does decide to leak this little show" Helen replied after a quick bout of contemplation.
"So...basically we should just sit here and wait until you give us the go ahead to head down to the theater to perform?" Billie asked, which got a quick nod from Helen.
"Exactly. That way no one will see you until the very end, and it won't ruin the surprise early through that somehow. The kids may not look it, but they are very very good at finding out secrets, and they would not hesitate to out you if they didn't have any clue who you are" Helen replied.
Haley and Billie both deadpanned at her words.
"Billie is the most famous artist in the world, anyone could glance at her once and instantly notice who she is. At the very least, most of her fans tend to leave her alone, but that might be out of fear of what she could do. In terms of lawsuits and all of that" Haley said to the woman who seemed to be ignoring her for some reason.
"So...basically I just need to ensure that nobody sees or knows you are here, set up security so that if anyone does find out that you are here, then it will be taken care of, as well as ensuring that my students do not spread the fact that you are here, to others" Helen listed off, nodding along with her own words.
"Yep. Nothing too complicated, just might get a little annoying" Billie replied.
"Nah, it should be just fine. My employees are really good at their job, and this is not the first celebrity guest we've had at the school"
"Really? Who'd you have come by before?" Haley asked, interested.
"Chris Hemsworth actually. He was in town for a shoot and was interested in coming by"
"Is he as dreamy in person as he is on the screen?" Haley asked, causing Billie to snort.
"Oh absolutely, even more so actually. He gave a guest lecture at one of our acting classes. Although I'm pretty sure most of the girls were more focused on being starstruck than listening to a word he was saying" Helen replied.
"I'm sure he just loved that, having a bunch of teenagers ogle him all day" Billie said sarcastically, Helen just chuckled.
"He found it funny actually, and according to him that was far from the first time that had happened, and I somehow doubt it will be the last" Helen responded, remembering the time he had come to the school.
It was a very interesting day, but also one of their most chaotic. He wasn't the biggest actor in the world or anything, not yet, but he was getting popular. More importantly, he was a handsome dude, so the students would have went crazy either way.
Either way, Helen decided it was time to get to work.
She just hoped that this went well.
Because if it didn't...
Well, she wasn't sure what would happen. But...
She doubted it'd be anything good.
