[3rd POV]
It did indeed hurt her wallet quite a bit. Around fifty five thousand dollars or so had come out, mostly because she had also splurged on herself a bit, and decided on getting herself a new wallet. Not a long one, just a normal wallet that was high quality.
Haley had ended up deciding on getting herself a Birkin bag, as well as one for her mother on top of that, and even one for Gloria too. Since she wanted to get them some form of gift, but the price had been something she felt bad for.
Mostly because Billie had ended up paying for it. Not because Haley couldn't, because she easily could have, but because Billie insisted on it. Billie had set aside a lot of money for the trip, and whatever was not spent would be donated.
That way they wouldn't need to feel too bad about spending all of that money on the gifts and other stuff. Since regardless of how much they spent, Billie planned on donating around a hundred grand or so. It was a lot of money either way.
After finishing their little trip in Hermès, they were now at a local place for a lunch. The two were currently sitting across from one another, with both of them having a sandwich in front of them. They honestly didn't really know what they were, only that they were pretty delicious, and had some sort of ham inside?
They really didn't know.
"So, what do you want to do for the rest of the day?" Billie asked, as she bit into her sandwich. They had already brought their clothes and sent them back to their hotel room, so now it was just time to decide what to do next.
"Well...I actually did have an idea. But I wasn't sure if you would be okay with it" Haley replied. Billie raised an eyebrow, leaning forward with interest clearly on her face.
"Oh? And what would that be? And why wouldn't I be okay with it?" Billie asked, curious to hear her answer.
"I was thinking of buying myself a car. Like...a proper one. And there was a store in the city that I thought could be good to go to. Although I know that I won't actually get the car for a while. As for why I am not sure if you are okay with it, it's because the store is expensive, like really really expensive" Haley said with a little bit of a nervous expression on her face.
"Now you're really making me interested" Billie replied with an amused expression on her face. She wondered what could possibly be making Haley look so tense about even talking about the idea of going.
"Well...I was wondering if maybe we could go to the nearby Ferrari dealership? I know it's a lot! Which is why I'm going to pay for it. But it's also sort of my dream car, like by a lot. And I figured since we are here, I can at least look at some of them to see if I can actually afford it" Haley answered, making Billie blink, her eyebrow raising.
"Babe, I spent 50 grand on bags, do you really think buying a car is a problem for me? I don't know my true wealth, not yet at least. But I can confidently say that thanks to my investments in...well, a number of things, that I am probably a billionaire, or close to it. So buying a Ferrari really isn't an issue for me" Billie replied, waving off her girlfriends concerns.
Sure it sounded arrogant and out of touch to casually talk about buying a Ferrari, but...she had the money, she was donating a lot of money, so she can afford to splurge and such.
"Plus I was planning on getting myself something sooner or later anyways. Probably not a Ferrari, but I was thinking a Bugatti or a Koenigsegg" Billie replied, admitting that she also wanted to get something similar.
She had a dream car too. But that dream car was...well, not exactly made yet. It wouldn't be made for another like ten years. A Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. The close second was the Bugatti Divo.
She loved both of them, but neither of them were out until like 2018 or so. And Bugatti's in general was her favorite type of supercar, with Koenigsegg being a close second place. Both were beauties in her opinion, but she knew that Koenigsegg's were a pain in the ass to keep running, and tended to have some problems.
She wanted a Bugatti more.
There was a few other cars on her "Wish list" but most of them were harder to find or just not made yet.
"You know, with you wanting a new car...maybe instead of moving in together in my apartment, we can...find somewhere new?" Billie said, realizing that with her wish to buy her own cars and Haley wanting her Ferrari, it might just be better to find a house.
Haley looked at her in surprise.
"A house? Yo-You want to buy a house together?"
"Well we are already going to move in together regardless. Why not get somewhere a bit more...you know, spacious. That way we can have all the cars we want, have parties and stuff without having to worry about it causing problems, and having space for...the future if we ever get to that point" Billie said, as Haley locked eyes with her.
Haley understood what Billie was getting at with the last point, and found herself smiling. The more she thought about the idea of moving in together with Billie in a nice house, the more that she liked it.
"You just love to bring up crazy big conversations out of the middle of nowhere, you know that?" Haley asked, staring at her girlfriend who just smirked in response.
"Yeah well I love to shock my girlfriend. And don't act like you weren't also contemplating the idea. Of moving into an actual house together. We can both afford something nice, and I figure we can get one that is somewhat close to Jay's too. That and we can get something big enough for us to have a recording room and a room for you to work on your fashion design. And I can do my hobbies too" Billie replied, knowing that she hadn't really had the chance to dig into any of her hobbies until recently.
Those hobbies were: Watch collecting, gaming, and collecting pokemon cards. It had been something she did in her past life, and was only able to start doing again rather recently.
"Sounds like we'll have to get a really big house though" Haley said, which Billie nodded at.
"Yeah I figure we get something big enough for all of our needs, but not too big that we can't take care of it just the two of us. That way we can easily clean it and still have more than enough room for anything we might need space for" Billie replied to Haley, who looked more and more enticed by the idea.
"Well how about once we get back, we can talk to my mom and then do some house hunting?" Haley asked.
"Sounds like a plan! Now, let's finish our lunch so we can go do some car shopping" Billie replied as they got back to eating. All the while, Haley had only one thought on her mind.
'I wonder if they have the Ferrari I want?'
