[3rd POV]
Returning back to California had taken them only a few hours, the flight had been pretty relaxing all things considered, and not a lot had happened. The two had mostly just cuddled up against one another, talking about their plans for their tours and where they wanted to go, and how they wanted the tour to go.
Like what they wanted each concert to look like, what their outfits should look like, and stuff like that. They both had enjoyed the talks, as they sat there for hours doing it. But eventually they had landed back in California, and got off the private jet.
The trip had in total been very enjoyable, and much more fun than either of them had been expecting. They both had thought that they would enjoy it to an extent, but not to this level. And they were already talking about traveling some more.
Haley didn't know about Paris yet.
At the moment they were on their way back to Haley's house. They planned on bringing up the move once Haley had turned eighteen. As asking now would not go very well...like at all. So instead, Billie decided she'd talk to her about the Paris trip.
It'd be another week of her being gone, but in this case, it would be without worry as they were not going to be gone during the school year, and would instead be out during Christmas break, giving them enough time to enjoy their time in Paris, while still being able to return to plan of Christmas.
"Are you going to give any gifts to your siblings today, or are you going to wait until Christmas?" Billie asked, as she drove towards Haley's home. The family was likely already waiting for them to get back, or at least the Dunphy's were. She had no idea if the others were there or not.
She doubted it.
"Nah. I plan on just giving them those during Christmas. They were all pretty expensive, so it wouldn't be really worth it. I am going to give my dad the souvenirs though. You know, the magnet for the fridge and that stuff" Haley responded with a shake of her head. She had spent thousands of dollars on her family, so those were definitely Christmas gifts, not gifts to give them as a sort of "welcome home" sort of thing.
"Makes sense. Do I need to be ready for another shopping trip, or is that all you're getting your family?" Billie asked. She had personally finished all of her shopping, but she was not certain about Haley, and how much she actually wanted to spend on them.
She probably didn't want to spoil her family too much, since she was making more than anyone in her family except maybe her grandpa. And even Jay didn't make as much as she did as fast as she did. And once her new album released, Billie was absolutely confident that Haley would explode far more in popularity.
The album that she was releasing was a GIANT one in her past life, and would get billions of views. It was some of the most well known music of the 21st century, and was well liked on top of that. So she'd likely make money off of just the music being listened to, but also it being used in bars, clubs, movies, ads, and all sorts of other things.
The music that Haley was releasing was much easier to use in movies and ads compared to what Billie had released up until this point. But once she released her next album, Billie was pretty confident that she would have her own music that could be used in ads and movies and such.
"This is all. I love my family, but I don't need to spend more than I already have on them. I don't want them to get arrogant or something. And I sure as hell don't want Luke bugging me for money" Haley replied, knowing that Luke would be the first one to let her money get to his head. Which sounded wrong just hearing it.
Alex was the least likely to let it get to her head, and frankly Haley was already planning on helping her sister out. As while they argue...a lot, she still loved her. So she was planning on paying for her college tuition when it came to it, should she need it. But Alex probably would get a scholarship, so that wasn't going to be needed...probably at least.
"Yeah fair. I can't really see Phil or Alex doing anything, but Luke...he'd be the first to ask for money. And no offense to your mom, but I am pretty confident it would get to her eventually" Billie said, agreeing with her girlfriend's statement.
"Exactly. I love my brother, but he is not exactly the brightest. And he is already a bit arrogant in certain regards, I'd rather not make him more arrogant" Haley said.
Billie chuckled at her words. She had noticed that Haley had become more and more well spoken over the months. Something that was pretty clearly thanks to her influence. Which is why she didn't use the word "Like" constantly like she had used to. On top of that she did not whine and stuff like she used to. All thanks to unknowingly getting trained in a strange sort of way.
"Probably for the best"
"Have you already done all of your shopping? I mean, I know you finished your shopping for my family, but have you done your shopping for anyone else you might need to buy stuff for?" Haley asked, just as curious as Billie had been about her own plans.
"Yep. I was going to get gifts for my employees at one point, but I decided to just give them all a bonus. The recording company is worth a lot of money, and my own wealth is increasing by the day, so giving them a bonus of five grand each isn't a problem" Billie replied, which made Haley look at her in slight surprise.
Five grand was a pretty big bonus when you spread it out between nearly a thousand employees. And it would be a meaningful gift. It was a five million dollar gift, so it better be seen as one.
Billie wouldn't have done this if she hadn't been investing heavily in various companies, and wasn't beginning to make mass amounts of money thanks to her beginning to buy parts of a few companies that she wanted to own.
They were mostly companies that dealt in recording technology, speaker technology, and stuff like that. The big one was Spotify, which was only worth around 300 million at this point. Which sounded like a lot, and it was a lot, but it was tiny in comparison to what it would become.
It would be one of the largest music streaming apps there was, if not the largest. And it would be a huge help for her, and her brand. Which is why she was buying out mass amounts of the company whenever she could. She hoped to own 51% of the company by the time she turned 21.
There were a lot of companies she hoped to have that much ownership of. She would be able to invest more and more as her investments began to come through. Such as the money she had been putting into Apple, Google, Microsoft, and many others that would be worth far more in the coming years.
"Thats a great gift, babe" Haley replied with a small smile, her girlfriend once again surprising her with her generosity. Billie didn't say a word at her response, and simply smiled softly in response, one thought on her mind as she got back to driving.
'Let's hope Claire doesn't get too mad...'
