In her world....
RIVEN'S POV
I came back from outside where I had gone to talk to my chauffeur hoping the argument had ended but what I found was not a playful argument between mother and daughter. My felt my body stiffen the moment I saw tears in her eyes.
" You on w mum, I came here with my troubled heart hoping that you would just look at my face and realize how tried I was but all you have done is show me that you would side a stranger over means speak all those words to me. Otherways I am sorry and I will apologize if that will make you realize that I still recognize my mother." She spoke tearfully and turned to my direction.
" I am sorry Mr. Sterling for the inconvenience. Pardon my manners please . I hope you don't take it at her. I'm really sorry." I heard her speak the words which carried so much heaviness she was crying as tears came down her cheeks. I knew those words were not so hard to speak or so painful because the look she gave me told a message I and her could tell, hatred, like I had taken everything from her. I nearly told her I was sorry but I needed security from her mother because I knew the only way I could get to her was through her family .
She retreated to her room in such a hurry that one could have not expected from someone to use when she was not being chased. Her mother was not crying but I knew her heart was aching because it was clear in her eyes.
" I don't understand my daughter nowadays. Her life has changed a lot, we have never argued like this. I know something is troubling her but she has refused to tell me. I could hear her even when I spoke to her on phone, she is heavy ladened. If it was another time Lindsey wouldn't have over reacted like that."her mother spoke sorrowfully.
" Maybe you should go and rest first." I told her not having words to speak to her. She decided to escort me to the guest room first. This really looked inappropriate for my mother in law to do especially when my wife was in the house, but she was used to me only that things had changed now, the address was now supposed to be son not son in law. She wished me a good night and left.
I sat down on the medium sized bed prepared for me. After some minutes I received a phone call from my guys outside, with what they had told me I ran out of the room involuntary not knowing what I was even going to do. My personal assistant was already at the door waiting for me
" I did as you told me I sent the other chauffeur to follow her so we should follow his GPS. We followed on quickly, I was losing my mind, panic was creeping into my head and I couldn't wait any longer to find her. Why on earth would she leave the house at such an hour in such a place?, what if something happened to her?we walked as quickly as we could running at intervals only to catch up with the chauffeur. Who was slowly trailing behind her.
I looked at her medium figure from the back as she walked her hands wrapped around her. She was out of the quiet streets and was now on the main streets the marked the end of her home Street. I wanted to quickly walk up to her but I was afraid of upsetting her more
She sat down on a bench and I was then viewing her sideways. She picked a wipe from her bag and dried her face. She was in agony and I was the reason. In her world I was the monster that took away her happiness.she sat alone agony written all over her face.
