Chapter 131 - Chapter 131 — Projection Arrives

After the Human Race's upper echelon reached a unified decision, their efficiency was—unsurprisingly—terrifyingly high.

With the Virtual Universe as its backbone, the Human Race had never relied on crude, clan-style inheritance methods like those of the Lian Xing Clan. The moment Bai Yue's contribution of inheritance guidance and the supreme treasure was confirmed, his authority within the Virtual Universe rose sharply, second only to the Universe Lords themselves and the Great Axe Founder.

At the same time, he was granted unrestricted access to all secret techniques stored within the Virtual Universe.

This single permission was, in itself, staggering.

The Virtual Universe's repository of secret techniques was vast beyond measure—an accumulation spanning from the earliest epochs of the universe to the present day. When Bai Yue began browsing, he immediately encountered techniques he had never even glimpsed before: ultimate arts forged by peak Human powerhouses, methods so personal and lethal that even his former status would never have qualified him to view them.

These techniques were not meant for public circulation.

They were entrusted only to comrades whose lives could be placed in one another's hands without hesitation. If such techniques leaked to enemies, the consequences would be disastrous—targeted countermeasures, cracked weaknesses, suppression in battle, and, in the worst cases, outright death.

From that day onward, Bai Yue gained an additional, long-term task alongside cultivation: memorization.

He did not rush to comprehend or practice these techniques. That work was reserved for his Original Universe. His current objective was simpler in description, yet absurd in scale—record every secret technique, perfectly and completely.

And even this was no small feat.

The secret techniques ranged from Apprentice-level foundations to methods touching the realm of a Universe's Strongest. The lower the level, the more horrifying the quantity. The sheer volume was enough to drown even Immortal consciousness.

Bai Yue did not read them line by line.

Instead, he directly transmitted the information into his consciousness. The receiving capacity of this clone alone surpassed the combined computing power of every supercomputer that had existed on Earth before the Great Nirvana Era.

Even so, the progress was glacial.

According to Long Kui's calculations, the change per unit time was so small that producing statistics was effectively meaningless.

Left with no other choice, Bai Yue mobilized all of his clones.

From that point on, every clone—aside from their essential cultivation—joined the memorization effort. Only then did the speed increase to a barely acceptable level.

And so, Bai Yue vanished from public view.

His schedule became brutally precise. Every moment was allocated. There was no spare attention left to observe the shifting currents of the outside world.

At present, Bai Yue's existence—counting his Original Universe and eight clones—functioned like a perfectly synchronized machine.

The Original Universe bore the heaviest burden.

It analyzed biological genetic data, deduced and refined Bai Yue's own genetic limits, absorbed the Origin Laws of Time and Space, reconstructed complete law frameworks, processed and comprehended the secret techniques transmitted by the clones, and deduced methods uniquely suited to Bai Yue himself. At the same time, it continued advancing toward fusion laws.

This workload pushed its capabilities to the absolute limit.

The eight clones receiving Beast God Inheritance within the Zu Shen Mystic Region contributed to memorization as well, while Bai Yue's Earthling clone maintained a relentless schedule of daily battles.

Within Monster Race territory.

In the silent depths of space, star-sized flames drifted like embers, forming a vast inferno around a towering structure—the Heavenly Wolf Palace.

Before the palace, a colossal two-headed serpent lay prostrate, its voice echoing through time and space.

"Lord of Tianlang, intelligence from the Zu Shen Mystic Region confirms that the Human Battle King, Bai Yue, has already fought over fourteen thousand battles and maintains a perfect victory record. Other than entering the Inheritance Land, he has not moved elsewhere."

The Lord of Tianlang—controller of Monster Race intelligence and assassination—had long placed Bai Yue on the kill list. Yet Bai Yue's rise had been too swift, leaving no opening before he reached his current level.

A flame-wreathed figure stepped out of the Heavenly Wolf Palace.

"Full details," the Lord of Tianlang commanded calmly.

"They are being compiled. This subordinate came to report first," the serpent replied before withdrawing.

Moments later, intelligence streamed in.

"The Insect Race and Automaton Race must have received this as well."

The Lord of Tianlang's emerald eyes glimmered coldly.

"Let them move first. Acting within the Ancestor God Religion's territory carries a heavy price."

In truth, the reaction of the alien races was slower than one might expect.

For Immortals, time had lost its urgency. Breaking through from Undying to Venerable was a notorious bottleneck—one that trapped countless geniuses for endless ages. Even extraordinary existences like Zhu Chong Wang had stalled there despite the Ancestor God Religion's full support.

Thus, in their subconscious, many believed Bai Yue would be similarly delayed.

They had time.

Another reason was hesitation.

No one wanted to be the first to strike. Assassinating a Beast God inheritor within the Zu Shen Mystic Region would mean tearing away all pretenses.

And so, silence persisted.

Unbothered, Bai Yue immersed himself in cultivation.

He studied fusion laws, refined techniques, and strengthened his foundation. Occasionally, he met with Luo Feng and the others within the Virtual Universe to unwind. Life was, by all measures, comfortable.

Luo Feng had returned to Earth, preparing for seclusion. Hong and Thunder God continued roaming the universe, sharpening themselves through hardship.

Time passed unnoticed.

One day, while Bai Yue observed the endlessly spreading law halos above Zijing Island, a realization crystallized.

The law halo did not force comprehension like the Inheritance Land. Instead, it displayed everything—two-law fusion, three-law fusion, four-law fusion, and beyond.

For most inheritors, this was overwhelming noise.

For Bai Yue, whose ultimate goal was to return to origin and achieve Chaos Laws, it was a priceless treasure.

Another's poison, my honey.

Then—

His eyes widened.

A new perspective linked itself to his consciousness.

Through the Dao Fruit's connection, Bai Yue understood instantly.

His projection… had responded.

A familiar living room.

A man stirred on a sofa, eyes snapping open with sharp clarity.

Bai Yue sat up, looking around, a smile slowly forming.

Only one night had passed.

After years in the Devouring Starry Sky Universe, he had returned—to his original body.

The room was a mess. Empty bottles, unfinished barbecue, scattered tissues.

He sighed, then laughed.

An hour later, clean and refreshed, Bai Yue sat quietly on the sofa.

And began planning his next move.
