The gathering on the lawn continued late into the night, laughter and conversation weaving together as old stories were retold again and again.

Before long, Luo Feng arrived with his family. Thunder God and Hong followed soon after. With everyone present, the atmosphere grew even livelier.

More than a dozen children from different families ran about together, completely ignoring the adults.

They wrestled on the grass, argued over toys, then made up just as quickly—bursts of laughter mixed with the occasional cry, filling the night air with warmth and noise.

Lieutenant General Zhang, already a little drunk, slung an arm over the back of his chair and squinted at Bai Yue.

"Xiao Yao, when are you planning to settle down?" he said loudly. "Look at Luo Feng—his kid's already running around!"

Li Xiao immediately joined in, grinning. "Exactly. How about I get your sister-in-law to introduce someone to you?"

Bai Yue gave a helpless smile. "No rush. I just haven't met the right person yet."

Even after transmigrating into another world, it seemed he still couldn't escape being urged to marry.

A while later, Cold Army stood up and raised his glass.

"Xiao Yao," he said in his usual restrained tone, "let's drink to you. Ever since we stepped into the universe, you and Luo Feng have been standing at the front, carrying the pressure for all of us. Thank you."

Hong, dressed in black, followed up, his gaze distant and solemn.

"When I was young, during the Great Nirvana period, I witnessed too many tragedies. Entire cities destroyed, countless compatriots dead. That was when I understood—Humanity must stand up. Someone has to lead."

He paused, then continued slowly.

"That's why I founded the Dojo of Limits. Competition, struggle, growth—I wanted humanity to become stronger as a whole. But compared to Earth, the universe is far more cruel and bloody."

His eyes moved to Bai Yue and Luo Feng.

"Fortunately, in this era, you two appeared. Because of you, Earth avoided the fate of enslavement.

Now that both of you have entered the core of the Virtual Universe Corporation, Earth is safe—for now. After you leave, focus on cultivation. Becoming stronger is the greatest protection you can offer Earth."

Silence fell for a moment.

Everyone present felt the weight of responsibility settle on their shoulders. Earth did not belong to one person alone. It belonged to all of them—and protecting it was a shared duty.

"We'll all work hard," Bai Yue said quietly.

In every era, whether on his old Earth or this one, when disaster struck, there were always people who stood up, straightened their backs, and carried the burden forward. That truth had never changed.

Soon after, Bai Yue and Luo Feng departed for Bailan Star, where they would wait for the spacecraft sent by the Virtual Universe Corporation.

Their destinations had been arranged together. While it was rare for two top geniuses to come from the same planet, it wasn't unprecedented.

Among this batch of genius trainees, even Qianshui and Jiang Mo, both in the top ten, hailed from the same planet and family.

As long as nothing appeared too abnormal, Earth would not draw excessive attention.

In the original timeline, Earth had been exposed largely because Hong's state of mind cultivation was too extraordinary, combined with the coincidental return of Great Axe to the Primordial Universe. Even then, without a Universe Lord personally investigating, Earth's uniqueness remained difficult to detect.

And once they grew strong enough, even if the secret were revealed, no one would dare touch Earth.

That day would not be too far away.

The spacecraft arrived soon after.

Escorted by their respective guard teams, Bai Yue and Luo Feng boarded the ship and began the long journey toward the Virtual Universe Corporation headquarters.

Three years passed in the blink of an eye.

For Ji Ning's clone, cultivating within Primordial Chaos City, less than a single year had gone by. He remained seated cross-legged atop the rooftop terrace, unmoving—until today.

Today, he finally emerged from deep comprehension.

The reason was simple: Bai Yue's Earthling main body was about to arrive in Primordial Chaos City.

The moment his main body passed through the Universe passage, the strange fluctuations acting on the soul lightly stirred Ji Ning's clone, even faintly agitating his still-weak comprehension of Time Law.

During those three years of travel, Bai Yue's Earthling main body had already broken through to Universe Rank. With the creative power of the Dao Fruit, he advanced directly to Universe Rank Level Nine.

Under his guidance, Luo Feng did not waste points on miscellaneous secret techniques. Instead, he purchased Floating Blood early. With Bai Yue's far more detailed explanations compared to the original path, passing the first level of the Tongtian Bridge would no longer be difficult.

Since Ji Ning's clone had awakened, he did not immediately resume law comprehension. Instead, he left his residence and headed toward the Chaos Tablet chambers.

Before long, he was granted entry into the Yan Mountain Chaos Tablet chamber once more.

During his last Tongtian Bridge attempt, he had cleared eight levels in a single run, earning eight comprehension opportunities.

He had originally planned to stockpile them, but since his cultivation state had already been interrupted, using one now was reasonable.

After the chamber doors opened and the previous cultivators exited, Ji Ning's clone exchanged greetings with Candre before entering. Seven days of comprehension began once again.

While he immersed himself in the Chaos Tablet, the 1,000 geniuses selected from the Peak Genius Battle arrived above Primordial Chaos City.

They followed the familiar procedures and soon reached the stage of choosing their respective Chaos Tablets.

Before fully analyzing the Mo Sha Clan, Bai Yue had planned for his two clones to select Chaos Tablets related to different aspects of Space Law.

However, after completing the analysis, he gained the ability to transform his clone directly into a Mo Sha Clan member.

Ji Ning's clone—currently comprehending the Yan Mountain Chaos Tablet—had already done exactly that.

As a race naturally favored by Space Law, the Mo Sha Clan gave him absolute confidence.

Within thirty years in Primordial Chaos City, fully mastering the 108 essences of Space Law was no longer an unrealistic goal.

With Space covered, there was no longer a need to select another Space-related Chaos Tablet.

For future balance, Bai Yue instead chose a Chaos Tablet associated with Time Law, shoring up his weakest area.

Deep within the City Lord's Mansion, there existed a strange and isolated space.

This was the Chaos Ruins, the domain of the Primordial Chaos City Lord, the supreme figure of the Virtual Universe Corporation faction.

Across the vast land lay endless corpses—some as massive as planets, others smaller than humans. Yet every single corpse radiated a terrifying aura, enough to make the soul tremble. These were the remnants of an unimaginably brutal peak battlefield.

The Primordial Chaos City Lord himself stood there.

He was over three meters tall, clad in ancient dark-red battle armor etched with incomprehensibly complex patterns.

A scaled tail extended from beneath his armor, and endless, majestic Universe Laws seemed to circulate around his body.

This was his primary killing clone, which was why his killing intent was so overwhelming. Even so, a faint smile lingered in his eyes.

As per routine, he had inspected the thousand newly arrived geniuses using the Origin of the Initial Universe, ensuring none were secretly possessed by alien races.

The inspection yielded an unexpected result.

Every one of them possessed hidden opportunities—nothing unusual. Their souls were pure Human Race souls.

But when he examined Bai Yue, he sensed the same soul aura he had once seen on Ji Ning.

After a brief moment of thought, he understood.

He did not intervene.

This was the first time he had seen someone daring to make such thorough use of the Virtual Universe Corporation's resources—but he had no intention of calling it out. He had no need to lower himself to that extent.

Outstanding juniors were entitled to opportunities.

As long as their path was correct, such "freeloading" was hardly a problem.
