Chapter 109 - 108. Soyo’s Shocking Wisdom.

Previously, Soyo didn't quite understand why Sakiko would run off to be a maid at Kamijou Mutsuki's house. But combining the available information—all of Sakiko's debt was now held by Kamijou Mutsuki, wasn't it?

So, Sakiko couldn't pay back the money and had gone to his house to work it off as a maid? Soyo felt she had uncovered the truth.

Therefore...

[Soyo: Kamijou-kun, is your household still short on maids?]

That's right. Since giving money directly wouldn't work, she would choose to share Sakiko's hardships.

She would become a maid for Kamijou Mutsuki alongside her—or even do the work in her stead. If she went to such lengths, Sakiko would finally be moved, wouldn't she?

Sakiko would realize who truly cared about her and who treated her the best!

Sakiko would surely abandon her previous prejudices and finally listen to her. Then, naturally, it would follow the standard procedure: Sakiko returns, and CRYCHIC is resurrected.

Soyo couldn't help but feel smug about her own "shocking wisdom." This was her way of winning Sakiko back!

[Capitalist With a Conscience: ?]

Looking at Soyo's request, Kamijou Mutsuki silently sent back a question mark. Was this Soyo trying to stir up some nonsense again?

[Soyo: Having one more maid shouldn't be a bad thing for you, Kamijou-kun, right?]

Although that question mark felt strangely mocking, Soyo suppressed her irritation to achieve her goal and continued typing patiently.

[Soyo: I don't need a salary; I just want to help Sakiko.]

[Soyo: I can even take over all her chores. I'll be an excellent maid!]

[Soyo: For you, this should be a win-win, right?]

[Capitalist With a Conscience: Put that way, it does sound pretty good.]

It seemed as though Kamijou Mutsuki was being moved by Soyo's words.

[Soyo: I'll be very obedient and listen to everything you say, Kamijou-kun!]

Perhaps due to her excitement, the girl's wording took on a slightly ambiguous tone.

'Saki-chan, I'm finally going to—'

[Capitalist With a Conscience: But, I refuse!]

However, Kamijou Mutsuki's next reply completely exceeded her expectations.

[Soyo: Why?]

Soyo hadn't even considered this possibility from the start. After all, when a beautiful girl like her proactively offers to be a maid for free, what guy would refuse?

'Is there something wrong with Kamijou Mutsuki... down there?'

The girl was so frustrated she was practically gnashing her teeth.

[Capitalist With a Conscience: One of my favorite things in the world is saying "No" to hot sht Soyo!]

While having Soyo serve as his maid would be quite entertaining, the cost would be Sakiko-sensei's sanity exploding. Besides, Maid Saki was already more than enough.

[Soyo: What kind of reason is that?!]

It seemed Soyo wasn't the least bit appreciative. To her, it felt like he was specifically targeting her.

[Capitalist With a Conscience: Give it a rest, A-So. Doing this will only make Sakiko hate you.]

[Capitalist With a Conscience: Aren't you doing well enough in MyGO!!!!!?]

[Capitalist With a Conscience: Tell me, why are you so obsessed with stirring up trouble all day?]

[Soyo: CRYCHIC isn't over yet! I will never give up!]

Mutsuki's words seemed to hit a sore spot, causing the girl to instantly become agitated. She had to admit, being in MyGO!!!!! did feel good—it just wasn't CRYCHIC, and it didn't have Sakiko-sensei. As long as she didn't give up, even if CRYCHIC was nothing but a corpse, she was willing to be a necrophiliac for it!

However, after the excitement faded and she calmed down, Soyo couldn't help but feel distressed. After all, if Kamijou Mutsuki didn't agree, then no matter how "shocking" her wisdom was, it was useless.

'So, what should I do? Soyo, think! Think of a way to persuade him!'

[Soyo: I'm begging you. If you don't agree, Kamijou-kun, I'll...]

[Soyo: Exactly what will it take for you to say yes?]

[Soyo: As long as it's within my power, I'll do whatever you want!]

[Capitalist With a Conscience: You really are just completely full of yourself, aren't you?]

Kamijou Mutsuki's reply was exactly as expected, and Soyo's face darkened completely. How had she never noticed before that this guy was so impossible to deal with, whether you used the carrot or the stick?

Pushed into a "dead end," Soyo finally recalled a bold thought she'd had before. This "trash" guy seemed to have a distinct interest in her mother...

[Soyo: If you agree to this, I can consider helping you out a bit regarding my mother.]

When the emotional cards failed, she had no choice but to resort to bribery. At this point, Soyo was clearly getting ahead of herself. 'I'm sorry, Mom, this is the last time!'

Of course, Soyo hadn't completely lost her mind—her mother was still very important to her. She was merely throwing this out as bait to tempt him, knowing full well that she held the ultimate "right of interpretation" on what "helping" actually meant.

[Capitalist With a Conscience: So as long as I agree, you'll persuade Mrs. Nagasaki to marry me?]

'Wait, sister...'

Even Kamijou Mutsuki couldn't keep a straight face after Soyo dropped that line.

He had just been joking; did she actually take it seriously?

And selling out her own mother just for the sake of Sakiko-sensei—what a "filial" daughter she was! Having a child like her truly was Mrs. Nagasaki's "blessing."

[Soyo: How could that be possible!]

On the other side of the screen, Soyo's cheeks were flushed with rage. Did she look like the kind of person who would do something so unprincipled?

[Soyo: I can talk you up more in front of her. And when Mom is at home, I can invite you over.]

That's exactly how Soyo's mind works. Even with her "shocking wisdom," she wasn't quite ready to actually auction off her own mother to achieve her goals.

At most, she'd just let Kamijou Mutsuki see Mrs. Nagasaki a few more times—it was basically a business venture with zero overhead.

After all, Mrs. Nagasaki was a mature, sophisticated adult.

Was Kamijou Mutsuki really going to "conquer" her just by meeting her a couple of times?

Especially with Soyo watching them like a hawk?

Impossible! Absolutely impossible!

Rounding it down, it was practically like she was scamming Mutsuki for a freebie.

Well... a freebie where she proactively offered herself up as a maid... why did that feel so pathetic?

No, Nagasaki Soyo would never regret this! Her choice was correct, as long as she could reach that future...

[Capitalist With a Conscience: My assessment is that you should learn from Uika. Go look at how she handles things.]

Mutsuki was starting to get bored with this nonsensical conversation.

[Soyo: ?]

Because of Sakiko-sensei's "double standard" treatment of the two of them, Soyo was incredibly sensitive to anything involving that blonde girl with the "magnificent face." Mutsuki comparing the two of them was a masterclass in stepping on landmines.

[Capitalist With a Conscience: Anyway, I told Sakiko earlier that I wanted her to warm my bed, so I'm going to stop chatting now.]

Technically, him saying it didn't mean Sakiko agreed. Inequality solved!

However, Soyo obviously wouldn't see it that way. She didn't even have time to worry about Uika anymore; she went into a full-blown panic.

[Soyo: ? What do you mean "warm the bed"?! What are you planning to do to Sakiko?!]

It's only the first day! Is Kamijou Mutsuki really this impatient?!
