Liora blinked. "Since I was five?"
The woman laughed softly. "You were my most troublesome customer."
Liora looked genuinely offended. "I was?"
"Oh, unquestionably." Even Thessian looked curious now. The tailor reached for a folded piece of blue fabric resting on a nearby shelf, running her fingers lightly across it as though remembering another time. "You climbed trees."
Liora stared. "I did not."
"You absolutely did." The old woman nodded with complete confidence. "You climbed walls." She smiled fondly. "You climbed fountains."
Marcus coughed suspiciously into his fist, and Devon was already grinning. "And every single time," the tailor continued, "you tore another dress." She sighed dramatically. "I used to tell the palace I had sewn enough gowns for three princesses."
Liora looked from the tailor to Thessian. "I climbed trees?"
Thessian's lips curved into a quiet smile. "I can believe it."
She frowned. "You weren't even there."
