Chapter 388 - Chapter 388: Whether It Fits or Not, I Decide

The next second, the shark-man took a huge step forward, his body charging in like a war chariot as he threw a punch.

His fist tore through the air with a whistling rush.

Vi twisted aside to dodge it, then landed an uppercut directly on the shark-man's chin. She quickly shifted to the right and struck him again in the side.

The shark-man swept a punch at her. Vi raised both arms to block it, but even so, she was still knocked back several yards.

"Vi!"

Jinx raised the machine gun in her hands and aimed at the shark-man, about to pull the trigger.

But the next second, a woman wielding twin blades darted out and rushed at her with incredible speed.

Jinx immediately swung the muzzle around and pulled the trigger without hesitation.

Bang, bang, bang, bang!

In an instant, sparks flew everywhere as bullets poured from the muzzle, raining down toward the woman.

However, the woman only moved faster. She dodged left and right, closing in on Jinx in the blink of an eye before slashing down with one blade.

Jinx decisively abandoned the gun and quickly retreated to open up distance, glaring at the twin-blade woman in front of her.

The twin-blade woman stood where she was, a cold smile curling at the corner of her mouth, her eyes full of contempt.

She had once been part of a Noxian assassin organization and had assassinated countless targets. Dealing with this skinny little girl in front of her naturally posed no pressure.

The next second, she charged straight in with her blades, not planning to show any mercy.

Her twin blades fell rapidly, but Jinx kept slipping away from them. Thanks to the training from a certain blond, her movement had become her strongest skill.

Meanwhile, the fight on Vi's side was also intense.

The shark-man strode forward, his fists crashing down like stone pillars.

Within that dense barrage, Vi constantly searched for openings and threw punch after punch in return.

However, although her punches landed often, her opponent's defense seemed even stronger. And while she was more agile, her physical toughness was nowhere near the shark-man's.

At this point, both of her arms had already begun to ache faintly, merely from blocking too many of his punches.

And when she saw Powder being attacked again and again by the twin-blade woman, her heart grew more anxious, making her want to end the fight even faster.

But the more anxious she became, the calmer she grew instead, refusing to expose any openings.

Because she knew that against this kind of opponent, once the other side caught an opening, it would often be fatal.

Jinx was being pressed by the twin-blade woman's relentless attacks, but she soon began fighting back. Taking advantage of a gap between the woman's slashes, she quickly flung out two silver plates, and they landed on the woman.

In an instant, electric current surged out. The twin-blade woman savagely tore off the electric plates at once, but she was still somewhat affected.

Now she reassessed the blue-haired girl in front of her and realized that her opponent was not simple.

She had actually dodged so many of her attacks in a row and still had enough room to counterattack.

Jinx reached toward her waist, and a specially designed revolver appeared in her hand. Without hesitation, she fired.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Bullets shot out. The twin-blade woman dodged quickly, but two shots still grazed past her, leaving two streaks of blood behind.

She felt a surge of anger and gave Jinx no more chances to fire, moving directly into close range.

Jinx pressed a button, and the revolver changed form, becoming a short blade.

Her knife skills could not be called especially impressive, but her advantage lay in how much gear she carried and how many tricks she had.

Suddenly, Jinx found an opportunity and quickly pulled away. Then she raised her right hand and gave the twin-blade woman a wave.

The twin-blade woman sensed something was wrong and looked down. A Flame Chomper grenade had somehow latched onto her body, making a clicking sound that grew faster and faster, like a countdown.

In that instant, cold sweat broke out all over her. Without hesitation, she swung her blade and cut through her clothes, escaping as fast as she could.

Boom!

The flash of the explosion burst out in the next second. The twin-blade woman was blasted out of the flames and crashed to the ground, coughing up blood.

Seeing that she was not dead, Jinx felt a bit regretful. She shifted the weapon back into revolver form, took aim, and fired directly.

The bullet shot out but failed to hit, because another cloaked figure appeared and blocked the strike for the twin-blade woman.

At the moment, aside from Jinx's side, the situation everywhere else was looking rather bad.

Carroll stood calmly in the distance, the faint smile on his face never leaving from beginning to end as he admired the battle before him.

Just then, more than twenty figures rushed in from the entrance. Their faces were hidden beneath special breathing helmets, they wore armored combat suits, and both of their hands were like blades.

Seeing this while being continually suppressed by the black-haired man, Sevika finally lost her temper and coldly gave the order. "Kill!"

The next second, purple smoke surged out from those helmets, and the combat suits on their bodies also lit up.

These were the subordinates Silco had cultivated using Shimmer. Each of them had been injected with Shimmer, and their combat strength was outstanding.

Their movements were extremely swift. After hearing the order, they charged straight at Carroll's subordinates.

"Silco, let's see which of us can make better use of Shimmer."

At this moment, Carroll spoke calmly. Behind him, in the shadows, Silco was tied to a chair.

He looked weakly at the scene before him and saw Jinx fighting. His hands behind the chair clenched unconsciously, but then loosened again without strength.

"We've played with them long enough. It's time to end this."

Carroll called out toward the front.

Behind him, from within the shadows, several more figures instantly shot out, all dressed the same as the cloaked figures from before.

As they moved quickly, their cloaks fell away, revealing pairs of eyes glowing with eerie purple light, as well as purple patterns across their faces and necks.

They stepped forward. The previous group of cloaked figures withdrew, each of them taking out a syringe and injecting it into their own bodies without hesitation.

Likewise, the shark-man trading punches with Vi also flung Vi away and took a Shimmer injector from his pocket.

Then he stabbed it straight into his arm. In the blink of an eye, all the Shimmer inside had been injected.

Dense purple lines began spreading across his arm. Those were the colors of his blood vessels, extending all the way to his face, until his eyes also began giving off purple light.

His body seemed to swell another size larger. Just his grin alone now looked incomparably vicious.

Vi watched the shark-man in front of her with a bad feeling. Before he injected Shimmer, she had not held much of an advantage.

Now that this guy had injected Shimmer, his strength was probably about to increase sharply again.

On the other side, the battle between Silco's Shimmer warriors and Carroll's subordinates had already begun, but they seemed to be no match.

These Shimmer warriors had all been selected layer by layer by Silco, but in the end, they had been cultivated after the fact.

Carroll's subordinates, however, already possessed considerable strength to begin with. After injecting Shimmer, their strength increased even further.

Which side was stronger and which was weaker soon became clear.

Sevika's expression changed dramatically. She could also see the difference in strength between the two sides and had not expected it to be this great.

The shark-man rushed toward Vi with quick steps and threw a punch directly. His speed was far faster than before.

Vi's heart tightened. She raised both arms to block. The next second, she felt a tremendous burst of force explode against her, accompanied by a surge of sharp pain, and her entire body was sent flying.

After crashing to the ground, she got back up and reset her stance.

Even at this moment, she still had not given up. She kept staring tightly at the shark-man, trying to find an opening in him.

In truth, she knew her punches were effective.

Before the shark-man injected Shimmer, his arms had taken multiple punches and had already grown somewhat stiff.

On top of that, many of her punches had landed on the shark-man's kidney area. In the human body, that area was often vital, and she believed fishfolk should be no exception.

She had seen Shimmer many years ago. Although this stuff could give people greater speed and strength, and even make them unafraid of pain,

It was not invincible. They could still die, and they could still be injured.

"Easy to say, but…"

Vi gently breathed out, controlling the rhythm of her breathing. As she sized up the berserk shark-man in front of her, she still felt a bit helpless from the bottom of her heart.

"Only one thing to do!"

She stepped forward and charged toward the shark-man.

Ekko's Firelights were also in poor condition now. Their combat strength was currently the weakest, while they were facing a group of Carroll's subordinates who had all injected Shimmer.

Even with his considerable strength, Ekko could handle at most one of those subordinates.

Sevika had also fallen into a major disadvantage. The black-haired man stabbed his blade into her modified left arm, then hacked down hard, severing the entire arm directly.

Sparks crackled from it. Sevika rapidly retreated, cold sweat dripping from her forehead as she stared tightly at the man in front of her.

She already had many wounds on her body, blood seeping from each one.

The advantage in this battle seemed to have been firmly held in Carroll's hands from beginning to end.

Her mind raced as she thought of a way to respond. All she knew was that if this situation dragged on, everyone would be finished.

"Let me deal with her!"

At this moment, the twin-blade woman who had injected Shimmer glared viciously at Jinx.

If she had not reacted quickly just now, she truly would have died to that bomb.

This time, she put away her contempt and planned to finish off the blue-haired girl with the fastest blade she had.

Jinx understood Shimmer fairly well, and now she also felt that the situation seemed to have become somewhat troublesome.

Had she known, she would have brought more bombs. But time had been tight, and there had been no chance to consider that much.

Now, being targeted by the twin-blade woman's eyes filled with killing intent, she did not panic, but instead thought about how to deal with it.

From an overall analysis, her current self did not seem to be a match for this twin-blade woman.

While she was thinking, the twin-blade woman had already rushed over. Her figure blurred, appearing in front of Jinx at extreme speed before swinging one blade.

Jinx hurriedly dodged. A few strands of blue hair were cut in midair. After dodging several slashes in a row, her situation grew increasingly bad.

"Powder!"

Vi shouted anxiously toward that side. The shark-man's fist came at her, directly hammering her more than thirty feet away.

"No…"

Silco could only watch the scene unfold before him, a flash of pain crossing his heart.

At that critical moment,

Buzz!

A beam of light shot in, and the dazzling flash instantly lit the space as bright as day. Everyone felt their vision blur.

The twin-blade woman was blasted away by the beam of light in an instant, crashing heavily to the ground and losing consciousness on the spot.

This sudden beam of light was beyond everyone's expectations.

In an instant, every gaze gathered at the entrance.

A blond girl stood there like a brilliant star, holding a staff in her hand.

The corner of Lux's mouth curled up as she struck a pose. "So, how was that? Pretty cool entrance, right?"

Seeing her, Jinx froze for a moment, then curled her lip against her true feelings. "It was okay, I guess."

"?" Lux practically threw a question mark at her and said unhappily, "That's your attitude toward the person who just saved your life?"

Jinx stubbornly said, "Even without you, I could've handled her."

"Hah! I'm not stooping to your level."

Lux shifted her gaze and looked around, clicking her tongue. "Looks like you've all been fighting pretty hard."

Looking at Lux standing at the entrance, Carroll's eyes narrowed, and a faint bad premonition suddenly rose in his heart.

The next second, several more figures appeared behind Lux.

Caitlyn also froze slightly. "Everyone came?"

She looked at the people at the doorway, extremely surprised.

"His Highness's calculations were really accurate. They're actually here."

At this moment, Seraphine only had two words in her heart for Luke, pure admiration.

She had not expected His Highness to figure out Caitlyn and the others' location just by counting on his fingers.

He was amazing.

And as Carroll looked at Luke standing at the entrance, the smile on his face completely disappeared. His heart also sank outright, and his expression turned somewhat ugly.

Even though he had never seen him before, he had already guessed the other party's identity.

The prince of Demacia, Luke.

Damn it. Why would they appear here?

Because Luke's group had suddenly appeared, the battle strangely came to a halt. No one on the field dared make another reckless move.

Right now, many eyes fell on Luke. With his identity as a prince appearing here, his very existence alone was already a kind of invisible pressure.

Luke walked forward and spoke calmly. "If you disarm now, there's still time."

With just one sentence, he had already made his stance clear.

Carroll could no longer stand by and watch. He stepped forward, his eyes fixed on Luke. "This is a dispute within the undercity. Isn't it somewhat inappropriate for Your Highness to interfere like this?"

His expression was no longer as calm and composed as before, and a trace of urgency had appeared in his eyes.

Luke only stood there casually.

But anyone with eyes could tell at a glance that the aura between the two sides was on completely different levels.

At this moment, Luke looked toward him and said indifferently, "Whether it's appropriate or not is for me to decide."

His body radiated the unquestionable bearing of someone above others, his gaze carrying an overwhelming force that looked down on everything.

With just that sentence, the atmosphere at the scene instantly grew heavy. The pressure naturally flowing from Luke made many people feel a sudden surge of strain.

Carroll's expression changed, and at that moment, he could not say a word. His heart grew even heavier as he looked at the prince standing in the distance, and he felt the urge to curse.

A prince of Demacia had come all the way to Zaun to meddle in gang affairs. Did he really have nothing better to do?

Damn it.
