Inside the meditation chamber the Grandmaster had prepared for him on Sakaar.
Levi sat cross-legged in silence. The endless revelry of the planet was sealed off beyond the walls.
He had to sort out the tangled mess in his mind.
The Mental Law he had copied from Vision was like a mist he could never fully grasp.
The Reality Distortion stripped from the Aether was like a drop of ink that wanted to dye everything its color.
Both powers were too abstract… and too dangerous.
He had always suppressed them using the methods he learned from Odin, never daring to make the slightest mistake. Odin had warned him:
Everyone who walked this path had died.
Originally, Levi planned to spend decades—perhaps even centuries—slowly refining and digesting these powers.
But now something felt wrong.
A sense of rejection from the very foundation of the universe.
The universe itself… was trying to purge him as an abnormal variable.
He couldn't suppress it anymore.
An irresistible pulling force erupted from the deepest part of his soul.
The energy barrier before his eyes vanished.
His sense of body disappeared.
His consciousness was violently dragged into an endless ocean.
The Sea of Laws.
It wasn't his first time here.
But this time, he hadn't come willingly.
He had been dragged in.
There was no retreat.
No choice.
---
He plunged into the first ocean—one formed by endless silver grids.
The Law of Space.
This was his home field. He knew it well.
Like a fish returning to water, every node in the spatial lattice resonated with his consciousness.
Space itself became clay in his hands, something he could knead at will.
He crossed the sea effortlessly.
---
Next came a purple storm ocean.
The Law of Force.
Violent energy capable of tearing apart stars raged everywhere. But to him, it was nourishment.
He opened his arms, allowing the power to wash over his will, taming it piece by piece.
He crossed this sea easily as well.
---
But his luck ended there.
The third sea was made of flesh.
The Law of the Body.
The green of the healing factor.
The gold of the super-soldier serum.
The platinum of Celestial blood.
Three colors churned together like boiling stew.
The moment he jumped in, his consciousness felt like it had been thrown into a meat grinder.
Every power within his body rebelled, each trying to claim dominance and expel the others.
His will became a piece of iron hammered again and again, cracks forming deeper with each strike.
His consciousness tore apart… regrew… and tore apart again.
Gritting his teeth, he used the crudest method possible.
He forced the powers together, kneading them like dough—folding, pressing, repeating.
When he finally crawled out of the sea, battered and broken, his will was nearly reduced to dust.
---
The fourth sea was green.
The Law of Time.
Levi's understanding of time should never have been enough to cross this sea.
But during the crossing, something unexpected happened.
He unconsciously triggered time dilation.
Within the stretched flow of time, he used his long lifespan to deepen his comprehension of temporal laws.
Barely, just barely, he crossed the Sea of Time.
---
The fifth sea was white.
The Law of Mind.
It was composed of pure logic and data.
There was no pain here.
Which made it even more terrifying.
The moment his consciousness entered, it began to dissolve.
Memories… emotions… even the name Levi blurred into lines of editable code.
He was forgetting who he was.
Just as he was about to dissolve completely into the data ocean—
A streak of red flashed.
He grabbed onto it desperately, pulling his collapsing consciousness back together and struggling toward the opposite shore.
---
The final sea.
Crimson.
Reality Distortion.
Just standing on the shore twisted his perception.
He saw himself back in his office, typing at his computer. Everything that had happened was just a bizarre dream.
Then he saw himself as the supreme god of the universe—creating galaxies with a thought and destroying existence with a flick of his finger.
Countless "realities" flickered in and out.
He knew that if he believed even one of them, he would be trapped forever—becoming part of the crimson ocean.
He closed his eyes.
He stopped thinking.
Stopped judging.
He held onto only one thing:
Greed.
He wanted all of it.
Real or fake—it didn't matter.
He wanted everything.
With that unreasonable greed, he dove headfirst into the crimson sea.
His consciousness shattered into billions of fragments.
Each fragment lived a different life.
But the core of his greed became an invisible thread, binding all the fragments together.
After an unknowable length of time, he finally broke through the illusion and collapsed onto the final shore.
He had crossed six seas of laws.
---
But now the real crisis began.
Those six forces raged inside his consciousness like six wild beasts locked in the same cage.
Pain.
His soul felt like it was being torn apart by six meat grinders pulling in different directions.
Space wanted to exile everything.
Force wanted to smash everything.
Body wanted to devour everything.
Time wanted to cycle everything.
Mind wanted to format everything.
Reality was the most tyrannical.
It wanted to declare the other five nonexistent.
Levi's consciousness was torn apart, crushed, and reassembled over and over at the center of the storm.
He wanted to give up.
But he refused.
These were his powers—his foundation.
Why should they destroy him?
He tried using Odin's magic knowledge to build a mental furnace.
It collapsed instantly.
He tried using the Mirror Dimension techniques from the Ancient One to isolate them.
Reality twisted the mirror space into a knot.
Every trick was meaningless before true laws.
He needed a king capable of ruling these six powers.
He reviewed every ability he had—from the healing factor to reality distortion.
None qualified.
These powers were manifestations of laws themselves.
There was only strength or weakness—no hierarchy.
Just as his consciousness was about to be erased…
The silent icon in his mind—the [Superpower Copier]—flickered.
And suddenly he understood.
He didn't need balance.
Because these laws were already one.
Space.
Force.
Body.
Time.
Mind.
Reality.
These were the six fundamental facets of existence itself.
He didn't need them to compromise.
He only needed them to serve one existence.
Himself.
Levi abandoned resistance and completely opened his battered consciousness.
Facing the six raging laws, he sent out a simple thought:
"I am here."
---
The silver grids of Space were the first to calm.
They formed a stable coordinate around the core of his consciousness.
The purple storm of Force followed, transforming into energy that filled that coordinate.
The ocean of flesh from Body stabilized, forming his physical structure upon the coordinate.
The white data streams of Mind flowed in, igniting the flame of awareness.
The cycles of Time stabilized the system, maintaining its optimal state.
Finally, the crimson glow of Reality descended.
It did not distort.
It acknowledged.
It declared to the universe that this being—formed by six laws—truly existed.
The six forces stopped fighting.
Instead, they meshed like perfectly aligned gears, forming a new system.
At the center of that system was a single core:
His self-awareness.
I.
For the first time in his life, Levi felt both complete and unimaginably powerful.
---
At the moment the laws reached equilibrium, an indescribable ripple erupted from the core of his consciousness.
The ripple ignored the Sea of Laws and spread instantly into the real universe.
---
On Sakaar…
The meditation chamber at the top of the Grandmaster's palace vanished silently.
Across the sky, the artificial dome rippled like water struck by a stone—waves of rainbow light spreading outward.
All revelers stopped and looked up in confusion.
---
Somewhere in the universe…
A Collector seated upon his throne suddenly looked up into the void.
"A new player… has entered the game."
---
And in a place far more distant—where even time did not exist—
A giant clad in golden armor slowly opened his eyes.
His gaze pierced through countless dimensions…
And landed on the source of the disturbance.
