Chapter 144 - Chapter 144: Sakaar

The Bifrost wasn't a road.

It was more like a kaleidoscope stuffed with colored glass shards—being shaken violently by a madman.

Everything in Levi's stomach churned.

Beside him, Thor looked like a drunk football player, crashing wildly through the torrent of energy.

Loki, on the other hand, had gone pale. His mouth was tightly shut as he tried desperately to maintain some shred of dignity.

Up ahead, the roaring current of energy suddenly split apart.

A massive spatial vortex opened like a giant mouth.

Loki was closest.

He didn't even have time to shout before the suction dragged him in. He vanished instantly.

Moments later, Thor lost control of his direction as well.

"See you in Asgard!" he roared, reaching out toward Levi—

but another smaller vortex swallowed him.

His voice stretched into a fading echo… and then disappeared.

Now Levi was alone.

He felt like he'd been thrown into a malfunctioning washing machine, tumbling endlessly inside a storm of chaotic energy.

After what felt like ages, he finally saw light ahead.

It looked like the drainage pipe of some cosmic sewer.

Before he could adjust his posture, the immense inertia hurled him out.

He slammed headfirst into a pile of cold metal.

For a moment, everything went black.

Several seconds passed before his vision returned.

Levi pushed himself upright and looked around.

The sky was a strange green, filled with floating blocks of multicolored clouds.

Above them hung countless wormholes like open mouths in the sky.

All kinds of bizarre ships belching black smoke zipped around wildly, filling the air with screeching noise.

And Levi—

was sitting on a mountain of garbage.

Metal. Plastic. And materials he didn't even recognize were piled endlessly into towering heaps.

The air smelled like motor oil mixed with rust.

He stood up slowly, pressing a hand against the wound in his ribs.

His brow furrowed.

He didn't know which of the Nine Realms this was.

He wasn't even sure it was one of the Nine Realms.

But one thing was clear—

he had landed somewhere far more troublesome than a WWII battlefield.

Before he could think further, metallic scraping sounds came from nearby.

He turned his head.

Several strange-looking creatures peeked out from behind a pile of scrap metal, watching him suspiciously.

Their weapons looked like they had been assembled straight from the junk piles.

One held a metal pipe with a jagged blade tied to the end.

Another had modified his arm with a net-launching capture gun.

They muttered in a language Levi didn't understand.

But greed and malice needed no translation.

"Fresh arrival," one of them said in rough universal slang. "Looks intact. Should sell for a good price."

Levi sighed.

The last thing he wanted right now was a fight.

The wound in his ribs still burned. Hela's Law of Death lingered inside like countless tiny needles embedded in his flesh.

Every breath hurt.

All he wanted was a quiet place to purge the death energy and figure out where Thor and Loki had been thrown.

But trouble had other plans.

The one holding the capture gun—clearly the leader—shouted something and raised his arm.

A blue energy net fired toward Levi.

Levi didn't even bother dodging.

He simply lifted his left hand and spread his fingers.

The net stopped midair half a meter away—

as if it had hit an invisible wall.

An unseen force crushed it into a glowing sphere crackling with electricity.

Levi flicked his hand.

The sphere slammed into a nearby pile of scrap and exploded, leaving a scorched crater.

The scavengers froze.

They clearly hadn't expected the ordinary-looking two-legged creature to be this dangerous.

But on this planet, hesitation meant death.

The leader shouted again.

The others rushed forward with their crude weapons.

Levi shook his head, annoyed.

He stepped forward—

and vanished.

When he reappeared, he was behind one of them.

No flashy powers.

He simply grabbed the creature's head and pushed it gently against a metal wall.

Thud.

The skull collapsed like a rotten watermelon.

The body slid to the ground.

Another scavenger lunged forward, thrusting a gleaming metal spear toward Levi's back.

Levi didn't even turn.

The spear struck him.

Clang.

It sounded like a toothpick hitting tank armor.

The spear tip snapped instantly.

The attacker's vicious expression froze into pure terror.

He tried to pull the weapon back—

but the broken spear felt welded into Levi's back.

Levi slowly turned.

His face expressionless.

Then he kicked the scavenger's knee.

CRACK.

Bone shattered.

The creature screamed and collapsed to the ground.

The remaining scavengers panicked and dropped their weapons, trying to run.

Levi snapped his fingers.

An invisible force field engulfed the junkyard.

The fleeing bodies froze in mid-stride—

then twisted, compressed, and crushed.

Their bones cracked audibly before they collapsed into unrecognizable piles of flesh.

Only the leader remained alive.

He lay on the ground trembling, his pants soaked.

Levi crouched in front of him.

"Where is this place?" Levi asked in universal trade language.

"S–Sakaar…" the scavenger stuttered.

"Who's in charge?"

"The… Grandmaster…"

Levi nodded and stood up.

That was all he needed.

He lifted his hand to eliminate the last nuisance—

when a sharp roar of engines suddenly cut through the sky.

A brightly painted ship shaped like a luxury yacht descended and hovered above the junkyard.

The hatch opened.

A tall man wearing a blue robe stepped out, flanked by guards.

A thin vertical blue stripe ran down his chin.

He looked elegant—

and deeply strange.

He examined the bloody scene below with interest before locking his gaze on Levi.

A wide grin spread across his face.

"Oh! Look what we've found!" he exclaimed through a loudspeaker.

"A newcomer! And such a lively one!"

He clapped his hands.

"I love lively things! Hello down there! I'm the master of this planet. They call me the Grandmaster. Care to come join one of my parties?"

Levi narrowed his eyes.

Old monster.

He could sense ancient cosmic energy flowing through the man.

Not quite on the level of Odin or the Ancient One—

but certainly a being who had lived for eons.

Levi didn't want unnecessary complications.

Unfortunately, the Grandmaster had clearly taken an interest in him.

Before Levi could decide how to respond—

a familiar figure stepped out from behind the Grandmaster.

Loki.

He had changed into a luxurious silk robe.

His hair was perfectly styled.

And his face carried that familiar smile Levi knew all too well—a blend of flattery and calculation.

Cockroaches always find the biggest pile of filth first, Levi thought.

Loki leaned toward the Grandmaster and whispered something.

But his eyes kept flicking down toward Levi.

There was a hint of gloating in them… along with hidden caution.

The Grandmaster's grin widened.

He pointed at Levi and shouted:

"I've decided! You will be the special guest in my next Champion Challenge!"

At that moment, several mechanical arms extended from the ship's underside.

Heavy energy cannons locked onto Levi.

Meanwhile, Loki's figure began fading.

Just an illusion.

Levi understood immediately.

Loki had arrived earlier, used his silver tongue to attach himself to the Grandmaster—and now planned to eliminate Levi using Sakaar's arena.

Levi chuckled coldly.

He glanced back at the injured scavenger leader.

Then suddenly changed his mind.

He grabbed the creature by the collar and lifted him into the air.

"Want me in your games?" Levi shouted toward the ship.

"Fine. But you need to show some sincerity first."

He tossed the scavenger upward like trash.

Just before the body reached the peak of its arc—

Levi snapped his fingers.

Spatial Sever.

An invisible law passed through the air.

The scavenger disintegrated instantly into fundamental particles.

No blood.

No remains.

Just… gone.

The Grandmaster's smile froze.

His guards raised their weapons nervously.

Loki's illusion reappeared beside him, his expression far more serious now.

They all understood.

This "newcomer" possessed a terrifying power they didn't comprehend.

Ten seconds passed in silence.

Then the Grandmaster forced a laugh.

"Magnificent! Truly magnificent!" he said stiffly.

"I take back what I said—you're not a guest. You're a VIP!"

He waved his hand.

The guards lowered their weapons.

"Please, come aboard, my honored guest. I believe we have many things to discuss."

A small shuttle detached from the main ship and slowly landed before Levi.

Its hatch opened.

Empty.

Levi glanced at the shuttle.

Then at the enormous ship above.

Finally, his gaze settled on Loki's illusion.

He said nothing.

Only smiled faintly.

Then he stepped into the shuttle.

As for Loki…

Levi decided letting the two brothers suffer a bit longer on this insane planet might be good for their personal growth.

And he still needed time to purge the remnants of Hela's death law from his body.

For now—

he would simply sit back…

and watch the show.
