Chapter 300 - Chapter 300: The Frozen Watchers

"Logan!"

"Don't go in alone! Get back here!"

Lissandra's furious shout rang across the sky. She looked at Logan as he launched an attack at the twisted creature, worried by his recklessness and impulsiveness.

What kind of joke was this?

That was a monster even Anivia had only managed to kill by using a mutual-destruction move. Although it had been sealed in True Ice and its strength had been damaged, even so, it was not something a weak demigod like Logan could handle!

Of course, if Logan knew what Lissandra was thinking, he would definitely snap back at her in annoyance.

No, what was that supposed to mean, weak demigod?

Logan was already very strong, okay?!

He had already reached the same level as Karma and Swain now.

Well, in front of Lissandra, Logan really was still much weaker.

Hearing Lissandra's voice, Logan reversed his body and flew backward, but the Frozen Watcher had already raised its head. On that distorted, giant-stag-like face, there were no eyes. In their place, its winding, twisted, ice-purple antlers were covered with densely packed eyes.

Being stared at by those countless pairs of purple eyes, Logan instantly felt his sanity plummet. The Void was just too damn bizarre.

It was as though this thing was the embodiment of every malicious thought in the universe condensed into one. Gazing at it was like gazing into an abyss piled high with infinite malice.

That made Logan's scalp go numb.

"Freeze!"

A cold voice rang beside his ear. Lissandra pressed one hand onto Logan's shoulder, while her other hand aimed at the Frozen Watcher below.

Dark True Ice instantly spread out, freezing the enormous monster within it in the blink of an eye. But very soon, cracking sounds rang from the Dark True Ice Lissandra had created, and immediately afterward, the Frozen Watcher burst out from the ground.

Seeing this, Lissandra did not find it strange.

These things had been sealed in True Ice for ten thousand years. They had long since developed resistance to True Ice. Lissandra understood the Void. She knew that Void creatures were bizarre beings that could turn knowledge and the power of others into nourishment, strengthening themselves with it.

They would continuously evolve!

Immediately after that, two more massive Watchers appeared. These two were different from the first Watcher that had appeared.

One was a huge humanoid Watcher, incomparably thin and long, standing three hundred meters tall. The moment it appeared, it instantly towered over some of the lower mountains. Its long, slender upper body was covered in countless arms made of ice. Likewise, it had no eyes, not even facial features or a face, only a blank visage.

Countless enormous arms trembled, and beneath the humanoid Frozen Watcher's feet, purple tentacles emerged, serving as its legs.

As they writhed and spread, an area of several kilometers was instantly covered by its tentacles.

As for the third Watcher, it was a gigantic sphere. Its body was ice blue overall. Rather than calling it a sphere, it would be more accurate to call it an eyeball.

The enormous pupil radiated a purple glow, and that eye stared at Lissandra above.

"Lissandra," it spoke.

This was the only Watcher that opened its mouth and spoke human language.

"Have you finally thought things through and decided to cooperate with us?"

Facing the eyeball Frozen Watcher's question, Lissandra did not say a word. She merely used action to show her attitude.

She raised her hand, and countless huge icicles, each a hundred meters long, stabbed toward the eyeball Watcher.

"Boom!"

To the side, the Watcher with countless arms raised its hands and blocked the icicles Lissandra had launched.

A trace of anger appeared in the eyeball, and the eyeball Frozen Watcher said coldly, "You still intend to betray us!"

"Why do you refuse to become one with us?"

Mockery appeared on Lissandra's face. She gave a cold, quiet laugh, raised her hand, and launched an even greater attack.

Ice spikes, freezing force, and even a massive iceberg summoned down to smash toward the Watchers.

In response, the Watchers roared. Under that indescribably eerie howl, Logan's ears ached, but he could still endure it. He drew his sword and slashed, unleashing a charged gale sword technique that cut into the Frozen Watcher's body.

It struck the Watcher that looked like a giant stag.

Ice chips fell from its body. It looked toward Logan, and countless strange eyes on its antlers rolled and shifted. For a moment, Logan fell into a state of confusion.

But in the next instant, the Spirit Blossom spirit of law bloomed, and a pale-pink lotus imprint appeared between Logan's brows. Logan came back to himself.

Within those roars, there was no pained scream from being attacked, but a voice filled with anger.

The Frozen Watchers were angry!

And that anger was entirely directed at Lissandra.

As Void creatures, and high-ranking Void creatures at that, although the Frozen Watchers were not equal to the true Watchers, who were among the rulers of the Void, they were still supreme existences.

To put it this way, Vel'Koz was the Void creature most similar to the Watchers. Even so, he was not a Watcher. He was a high-ranking Voidborn that "imitated" the Watchers, yet his strength had already reached the demigod level.

From this, one could see that the true Void Watchers possessed strength far beyond the demigod level. This was also why the Void was something even Aurelion Sol feared and took seriously.

"Lissandra, you will pay the price for your actions!" the eyeball Frozen Watcher said haltingly. As it spoke, it raised its tendril. Under that purple light, a vast amount of magic appeared, comparable to what Lissandra could create.

"Boom!"

Light shot out from the tendril, aiming straight at Lissandra's face.

In response, Lissandra merely raised her hand and created a spatial opening. In an instant, it absorbed the purple light completely. Then another gate appeared in the sky and released it toward the horizon.

"Logan, what are you still waiting for?!"

Lissandra shouted coldly.

Did he not say he had called people over?

Where were they?

In a one-on-one situation, Lissandra could deal with one Frozen Watcher in its weakened state.

But three of them? Especially that eyeball-shaped Frozen Watcher. There was absolutely no way Lissandra could do that!

As for treating Logan as combat power?

Stop joking. This was simply not a war Logan could participate in!

What Lissandra needed was the powerful force behind Logan.

For example, that fox that had appeared several times before!

Hearing Lissandra's voice, Logan helplessly rolled his eyes.

He could feel that Lissandra was looking down on him. This woman was not even trying to hide it. She was practically one step away from saying directly to Logan, summon them, and then you can leave.

"Snap!"

A water whip swung, resounding through the sky, and a dazzling water blade appeared. It was Nilah. After watching for a while, this woman decisively chose to come out.

A powerful enemy, and a monstrous enemy like this too!

Damn, this suited Nilah's tastes far too well. What did she want? Was it not to defeat powerful monsters, make a name for herself, and become known to the world?

Because of that, Nilah could not hold herself back. What Lissandra had originally asked her to do was protect the ordinary people who would be affected by the battle.

But now, Nilah had run out instead.

Logan no longer hesitated either. He raised his hand and pressed it against the lotus imprint between his brows, then opened his mouth and said,

"Descend."

Immediately afterward, the power of the spirit realm filled the material realm. The boundaries of Runeterra were blurred and smoothed over by a special power, and five enormous lotuses appeared behind Logan.

They were three purple lotuses and two white lotuses.
