"What is it? Who's at the door, dear?" Li Chunmei asked, her suspicion piqued by her husband's sudden silence. She hopped out of bed and shuffled over in her slippers.
But when she saw the figures standing outside, she froze too, her eyes darting away, a strange sense of guilt washing over her.
"This... isn't this Mr. Fu, Madam Fu, and Old Madam Fu? What on earth brings such prominent figures to this place? Heh."
Li Chunmei swallowed hard and forced an awkward smile at the newcomers.
As she spoke, she subtly nudged her husband with her elbow, urging him to snap out of his daze.
The visitors were none other than Fu Yuheng and his wife, Luo Huiying, along with Old Madam Fu.
Fu Shan and Xu Yifei trailed silently at the rear, their figures momentarily obscured by Fu Yuheng's presence.
As such, Fu Dagui and Li Chunmei hadn't noticed them at first glance.

"Li Chunmei, is this how you and your husband have treated Fu Shan all these years?" Luo Huiying erupted first. As a mother, she couldn't bear to see her child wronged. Witnessing Li Chunmei's abuse of Fu Shan, how could she stand it? This was merely the tip of the iceberg. Li Chunmei, trembling, picked up the documents and her face paled when she saw the four large characters on the cover: "Paternity Test." She quickly flipped through the pages.
