Chapter 136 - Chapter 136: Pela, something's off with you!

At this moment.

The toilet stall door was wide open.

Gepard stood frozen in front, staring incredulously at the scene.

"Come on! Ah? You fucking want a beating, huh? I'll fuck your mom! Crawl in here! I dare you to crawl in! You made me fucking rip it! I'll kill you, you bastard!"

"Mmph~ ah~ ah!"

Gepard: "O.o?"

Sampo had already pulled up his pants and was now unleashing his pent-up rage on that Silvermane Guard!

A storm of punches landed, leaving the Silvermane Guard bruised and swollen, screaming nonstop!

"Ah~ kimochi nee~" He moaned amid the blows, teeth knocked out and missing several, yet completely unbothered.

A classic masochist!

"Hm?"

Noticing movement behind him, Sampo instinctively turned around.

There stood Gepard, face dark and grim, coldly staring at Sampo's actions.

"Holy shit, Gepard?"

That look scared Sampo into immediately halting his fist. He swallowed nervously.

Damn—he'd actually been caught red-handed by a Silvermane officer!

Gepard barked:

"Sampo, it's you again! What are you doing to him?!"

"What am I doing?"

Hearing Gepard's accusation, Sampo immediately exploded with anger.

He boldly dragged the Silvermane Guard out and hurled him right in front of Gepard, cursing loudly:

"Why don't you ask this dumbass what he was doing? I was just taking a peaceful shit when this guy appeared outside the stall like a ghost, saying he smelled me and came over? Isn't that textbook psycho?!"

Gepard paused, his gaze shifting to the Silvermane Guard at his feet.

"Is what he said true?"

What answered him was a string of strange noises.

"Ah~ ah~ ah~"

"…"

At this point, the Silvermane Guard was still savoring the intimate contact with Sampo's fists, moaning continuously.

"…"

Only when his hand touched the cold iron boot did the Silvermane Guard groggily open his eyes and meet Gepard's grim stare.

In that instant, not only did his spine not chill—

He even felt a little excited!

"Captain~ hehe, you're here too?" the Silvermane Guard murmured weakly.

"What the hell is going on? Why did he hit you?!" Gepard's gaze darted between the two.

Logically, Sampo was always up to petty theft and scams—even if Silvermane Guards roughed him up privately, Gepard wouldn't say much.

But…

If what Sampo said was true, then this subordinate's conduct seemed highly problematic.

Properly disciplining subordinates was also the Captain of the Guard's duty.

"Uh…"

Seeing Gepard so serious and his voice so icy, the Silvermane Guard finally snapped out of it.

This… wasn't a dream after all!

He hurriedly staggered to his feet, bruised face and all, and saluted Gepard:

"Reporting, Captain! I was merely carrying out orders to apprehend a fugitive. Everything he just said is complete nonsense!"

"???"

Hearing the Silvermane Guard's resounding reply, Sampo's teeth nearly shattered from grinding them.

He immediately shouted:

"You're fucking full of shit! Who the hell burned in front of my stall for a full three minutes, then climbed in from above like a damn ghost?"

He pointed furiously at the Silvermane Guard:

"What a damn talent! Pissed me off so much I clenched halfway through and stood up to beat you! Now you know how badass I am? Show me that burning act from earlier again?!"

At this moment.

Gepard's feelings were extremely complicated.

Should he believe Sampo, or his own subordinate?

He had heard rumors about this Silvermane Guard's questionable conduct, but without evidence, he had always treated them as unheard.

Blind suspicion and paranoia were major taboos in the military.

He slightly raised his head:

"Sampo, the despicable things you've done in Belobog are nothing new. If you want to accuse a Silvermane Guard of misconduct, you'll need solid evidence. Even so, we'll still have to arrest you."

Hearing Gepard's words, Sampo immediately fumed.

Since when had Old Sampo fallen so low that he had to provide evidence against a Silvermane Guard?

"Damn it! I thought you were someone who could separate personal and professional, but you're openly shielding this guy? Shameless!"

Gepard said gravely:

"In the absence of evidence, of course I believe my subordinate."

At this time.

A certain someone stood outside the restroom.

He treated the argument inside as background music while silently observing the humanistic scenery of the administrative plaza.

There were far more people out strolling than before.

Zeig even spotted some familiar faces from the Underworld—elderly folks bringing kids up from the Underworld via cable car for sightseeing.

The noisy chatter of children sometimes drowned out the argument inside the restroom.

"I hope this world has fewer perverts. Bears aren't scary, but perverted bears are terrifying." A certain someone clasped his hands and prayed.

That Silvermane Guard's voice felt oddly familiar to him.

"I think I've heard this guy's voice before—back when I was righteously pursuing Dan Heng and March." a certain someone pondered.

At that time, the Silvermane Guard had been in Bronya's squad.

After capturing Dan Heng and March 7th that day, the group lit a campfire and rested on the spot. That Silvermane Guard had taken the chance to pull Sampo onto his lap.

If Bronya hadn't intervened in time, Sampo would have been claimed back then.

"Executor? What are you doing standing at the restroom entrance?" A girl's voice came from afar.

A certain someone looked over—a familiar young lady was walking toward him.

Pela chuckled lightly:

"Hey, I just called you not long ago and you're already here. Guess you really missed this place, huh?"

"Get real—can all the perverts just die already." a certain someone grumbled.

"Pervert? Is there anyone more perverted than you?" Pela asked, puzzled.

"…"

"I can only say your horizons are too narrow."

"How so?"

Driven by Pela's intense curiosity, Zeig had no choice but to vaguely recount the events to her.

As a result, Pela grew more and more excited the more she heard!

Little stars sparkled in her eyes:

"Ooh~ oh! Aww~ so that's what happened!"

"?" A certain someone took half a step back, warily staring at Pela:

"Friend, what does that expression mean? Something's off with you!"

"No way, I'm totally normal."

Pela said very seriously:

"These days they promote free love, free love! It's not that strange for something like this to happen—there are even people who go after animals."

A certain someone widened his eyes:

"How do you know so much? Don't tell me… you're one of the perverts too! Holy crap, holy crap—!!"

"What are you thinking? I've just been on the internet a lot lately. What's the big deal?" Pela muttered.

"What the hell have you been looking at online? You're corrupted!"

"Wait, you still haven't told me why you called me back! Could it be…"

A certain someone stepped back half a pace, gaze heavy:

"You're after my good looks too?"

"…"
