"That's right. His name is Fenrir."
Lucas rubbed Fenrir's head and said calmly,
"Don't be afraid. His intelligence is even higher than that of most humans."
Jonathan frowned slightly when he heard this.
"Fenrir… the same name as Fenrir, the demon wolf—Loki's son—from Norse mythology?"
Fenrir immediately became displeased and let out a low growl.
"Dad, the real situation is this," Lucas explained while soothing Fenrir.
"Fenrir is actually Hela's close friend. And Hela is Loki's elder sister."
"Oh, I see!" Jonathan said in realization and immediately apologized,
"I'm sorry, Fenrir!"
Only then did Fenrir calm down.
After all, being mistaken for the son of that useless trickster Loki was nothing short of a grave insult to him!
Even if Loki was technically Hela's brother—well, by human standards, her younger brother—that still didn't make it any less humiliating!
"He won't bite people, will he?" Helen asked with some concern.
Lucas sighed helplessly.
"That question itself is an insult to Fenrir."
"Oh—sorry, Fenrir," Helen said quickly when she saw Fenrir snort through his nose.
"Don't worry, you're family too."
Lucas then reached out and placed Little Surtur on the table in front of them.
"This is a fire-elemental lifeform named Surtur. You can just call him Little Surtur."
Little Surtur, already possessing basic intelligence, stepped forward and bowed politely.
"What an adorable little fellow!" Helen leaned in, instantly overflowing with maternal affection.
"Can Little Surtur talk yet?"
"Not yet," Lucas replied.
"He was born not long ago. He should be able to speak after some time."
Jonathan carefully shook hands with Little Surtur—more accurately, Little Surtur shook his fingertip—and then asked curiously,
"So where did you meet all these… uh… friends?"
"Adventures," Lucas replied vaguely.
"You know, a lot has happened in the past two years. I handled most of it."
"We know what you're capable of," Helen waved it off.
"We watch the news. Though I still think that 'Terminator' nickname sounds awful."
Jonathan nodded in agreement.
"Oh, right," Helen suddenly asked,
"Son, where's your girlfriend?"
That question was one of the main reasons they had paused their world travels and returned home.
"She's at work," Lucas answered.
"You little brat," Jonathan said sternly.
"You're the CEO of a massive company now. You're not short on money. Bring her home so we can meet her—and hurry up and give us a big, chubby grandson to take care of!"
"Exactly!" Helen immediately sided with him.
"Your dad and I are almost forty. If we don't help you raise kids while we're still healthy, you'll regret it later!"
"Mom, Dad—she's not even twenty yet," Lucas said, covering his face.
"We've only been dating for less than two years. Isn't this a bit rushed?"
"Rushed my ass!"
Jonathan instantly put on his father authority voice.
"How old was I when I married your mother? Don't try that excuse on me!"
Lucas had nothing left to say.
In front of parents, surrender was the only option.
"Yes, yes, yes. Mm-hmm. You're right."
---
Buzz—!
Suddenly, a flash of light appeared in the sky, and a seven-colored rainbow descended directly into the courtyard.
A voluptuous figure stepped out of the light.
"Hela?"
Lucas froze, surprised.
Today, Hela wasn't wearing her combat bodysuit or Asgardian armor.
Instead, she wore a deep green, off-the-shoulder, form-fitting dress that perfectly highlighted her lush, elegant curves.
"Lucas," Hela said calmly as she approached,
"I had nothing to do today, so I decided to come to Midgard and see you."
When she noticed Jonathan and Helen, she seemed to understand immediately.
"Greetings," Hela said gracefully.
"My name is Hela Odinsdottir. I am the current Queen of Asgard—and Lucas's future wife."
"???"
"??"
"?"
Three identical question marks appeared.
Lucas was stunned by Hela's blatant declaration.
Jonathan was stunned that his son was apparently openly juggling two women.
Helen, however, recovered first.
Her eyes scanned Hela up and down like X-ray vision.
Helen was a woman raised in rural village—she trusted her judgment on this sort of thing.
That figure alone?
If she didn't give birth to at least three sons, it would be a waste of her lineage.
And judging by her presence and aura—Queen of Asgard?
Powerful. Influential. High status.
Children born into that background would practically start life at the finish line.
"Sit, sit!" Helen immediately stood up and warmly pulled Hela to a chair.
"So you're Hela? I'm very happy to meet you!"
Jonathan also quickly joined in, the couple perfectly synchronized.
Fenrir padded over and lay down quietly beside Hela.
Lucas felt his scalp go numb.
---
And at that exact moment—
A sonic boom echoed from the sky.
A figure appeared in front of the glass doors leading into the yard.
"Oh, shit…"
Lucas instantly realized—Kara had arrived.
"Hey, Lucas!" Kara walked into the yard, heading toward Jonathan and Helen.
Then she saw Hela.
And Hela saw her.
Their gazes met midair.
Lucas could practically see sparks flying.
"Oh, isn't this Lucas's girlfriend?"
Helen immediately noticed and enthusiastically walked over to Kara.
"I've heard Lucas talk about you on the phone so many times," she said warmly.
"And now that I see you in person—such a lively, beautiful young lady!"
Half a second of Kryptonian-level X-ray scanning later—
Helen was suddenly conflicted.
Her son's taste was too good.
Both women were beautiful, elegant, and clearly capable women.
So… which one should he choose?
Or—
Why not choose both?
Her son had money.
Raising kids wouldn't be a problem.
As for monogamy laws?
Please.
Jonathan and Helen exchanged a single glance and instantly aligned again.
Whether the two women could get along?
That was not their problem.
Even if the world turned upside down—it didn't concern them.
Lucas was strong enough to survive anything.
They just needed to wait patiently for adorable grandchildren to be born and raised.
