Jun was just about to finish his meal. The fire burned faintly in front of him, and he reached out for another bite when suddenly, the air pressure above shifted.
A shadow flashed and the very next second an eagle-type alien dived down at lightning speed, grabbed the leopard cub with its sharp claws… and shot straight back into the sky.
"HEY!! Stop!" Jun shouted.
But it was already too late. The eagle had climbed far too high. For a second both Jun and Red Eye froze. Then Red Eye let out a sharp, furious scream and instantly dissolved into her combat suit form, attaching to Jun's body.
Jun reacted immediately and activated his Mimic Ability. A sharp focus appeared in his eyes. He looked onto the eagle's wings and try to copied them.
The next moment, energy wings manifested from Jun's back.
"Balance… balance…" he muttered to himself.
At first, his body wavered and his control was unstable. He glanced down, the ground below had already turned into a blur.
But the Red Eye suit continuously adjusted his movement.
"Steady, Master…" her voice echoed.
After a few seconds of unstable flight, Jun finally stabilized.
Though now his head began to ache. Still, with Red Eye assisting his balance, he pushed forward and increased speed.
The wind slammed against his face. The speed was so intense that the trees below looked like nothing more than green streaks. The eagle was fast but Jun was now right behind it.
"Leave the baby rascal eagle…" Jun growled through clenched teeth.
The chase continued, Then suddenly Red Eye's energy surged Jun's speed spiked instantly. He shot forward and appeared directly in front of the eagle.
The eagle reacted instantly. It took a sharp turn and dived toward a dense forest region.
"Smart move…" Jun thought.
Fighting inside a forest would be a disadvantage for him. He decided to attack immediately. Blades extended from the suit.
He targeted the eagle's legs. But at the last moment the eagle shifted its claws and blocked the attack.
"Fast…" Jun gritted his teeth.
He moved in again for a second strike but then the eagle did something unexpected. It pulled the leopard cub directly into Jun's attack line.
Jun's eyes widened.
"Shit!"
He stopped instantly and his blade halted just an inch away. The eagle took advantage of that hesitation and flew upward again. Jun's expression hardened.
"Now… I'll have to attack from two sides."
He made a decision instantly. Jun detached the Red Eye suit from his body and threw it straight toward the eagle.
At the same time He threw his blades upward while beginning to fall.
Now the eagle was caught in a two-sided attack. Red Eye attacked from the front and Jun's blades came from the side. For a brief moment the eagle was trapped.
But it was extremely cunning it reacted instantly. It threw the leopard cub in another direction. Red Eye immediately diverted toward it.
Jun was falling and wanted to shout,"Red Eye... stop..!"
But the wind pressure was too strong that's the reason why his voice couldn't come out properly.
Red Eye chased after the cub but the moment she reached there space glitched.
And the next second the cub disappeared.
Red Eye froze,"it's… illusion?"
But it was too late because the eagle had already gone. Her red eyes glowed intensely.
She was furious but there was nothing she could do now. Suddenly the red eye disappeared.
Meanwhile Jun was still in free fall. His speed had become dangerously high. He immediately summoned the Stone Turtle armor.
The armor activated instantly. Jun crashed down with a loud impact. The ground cracked slightly, forming a small crater. His blades fell with him and pierced straight into his leg almost two inches deep.
Jun clenched his teeth with sharp pain but he quickly looked down. One blade had entered the side of his leg it was good because his bone was safe. The second blade fell right in front of him.
Jun exhaled in relief,"Too Close…"
He immediately dismissed Red Eye. The moment she disappeared the blade gone too. Jun removed the armor from his leg area and opened his bag and took two bandages.
And started wrapping the wound. The bleeding slowly came under control. Then from within the dust a voice shouted,"Hey idiot! Are you crazy?! You just destroyed our shelter!"
Another voice followed,"Do you even have brain?! If you can't fly, why are you flying?!"
Jun looked around, the dust cloud was still hanging in the air.
"People…" he thought.
He wanted to quietly leave the area but there was a problem his energy was almost gone. He couldn't summon anything or flying.
Then suddenly he remembered something and he quickly activated his device.
Without setting coordinates, it's an emergency shift. And the next second Jun vanished from that place.
