"Oh? To think my young friend Qin Yan even knows about the Dragon Balls... truly incredible."
Kami was beyond astonished. Qin Yan not only knew that the Dragon Balls could grant wishes, but he even knew that Kami himself had created them. This left the old guardian shocked and confused, finding Qin Yan increasingly mysterious and beyond words.
"Since you have need of them, it is naturally no problem. However, you will have to wait a while. After all, collecting the Dragon Balls takes time."
Kami agreed to Qin Yan's request without a second thought.
"No problem! Lord Kami, I can wait a few days. I'll be in your care, then."
Qin Yan felt immensely grateful. He understood that the matter was not urgent; after all, he planned to stay on Earth for quite some time.
"Haha, it's nothing, merely a small favor. However, I have a bold request of my own. I wonder if you might agree to it?"
Kami laughed heartily, but his tone suddenly shifted. He stared intently at Qin Yan, his expression becoming solemn as if he had something important to ask.
"Lord Kami..."
Mr. Popo looked at Kami nervously, seemingly worried that the guardian's words might offend Qin Yan. His eyes were filled with concern.
"Haha! Lord Kami is helping me so much. Please, speak your mind. As long as it is within my power, I will surely assist you."
Qin Yan smiled faintly, showing no sign of displeasure. Since the old man was doing him such a huge favor, he was more than willing to help out in return where he could.
"Well, it's nothing urgent. It's just that... if Earth ever encounters any difficulties in the future, I hope you can step in and lend a hand."
Hearing Qin Yan's words, Kami felt a ripple of joy. He spoke quickly, his voice carrying the weight of age but his eyes shining with hope.
"Hahaha! Alright, no problem."
Qin Yan had already guessed what Kami wanted to say. He laughed heartily in response. Even if Kami hadn't mentioned it, Qin Yan would have done it anyway. After all, this was his home now. He wouldn't allow anyone to threaten or destroy itnot even a God of Destruction.
"Really? That's wonderful."
A kind, relieved smile spread across Kami's face. He was truly overjoyed.
Beside them, Mr. Popo's tense expression finally relaxed.
Qin Yan nodded, acknowledging the guardian's words.
"Also, I wonder if I could ask Mr. Popo for a favor."
Qin Yan turned his gaze toward Mr. Popo. He intended to have the attendant pass on some combat experience to Liya.
Qin Yan's words caught both Kami and Mr. Popo off guard. They hadn't expected him to have a request for Mr. Popo as well. Mr. Popo's eyes widened in confusion.
"What would you like Mr. Popo to do, my young friend?" Kami asked curiously.
"It's like this. If he has the time, could Mr. Popo guide Liya in her cultivation and share some combat experience?" Qin Yan pointed to Liya beside him.
Liya was quite young and lacked combat experience and martial arts techniques. If Mr. Popo could provide a few pointers, her strength would surely reach a new level.
"Eh! Young friend Qin Yan, your strength is already so immense. I'm afraid Mr. Popo is no match for either of you. There's likely nothing he can teach you!"
Qin Yan's request left Kami and Mr. Popo bewildered. They couldn't understand why someone already so powerful would seek martial arts guidance from them.
"It doesn't matter. Her combat experience and application of power are still unrefined, so I'd like Mr. Popo to guide her. Don't worry, I'll have her suppress her aura. Just a bit of guidance on basic Taijutsu and the usage of Ki will be enough."
Qin Yan explained with a gentle smile.
"I see!"
Kami and Mr. Popo suddenly realized the intention.
"Mr. Popo! What do you think?" Kami looked at his attendant and asked.
"No problem," Mr. Popo nodded.
"Then I'll leave it to you, Mr. Popo!" Kami said warmly.
"Thank you very much!" Qin Yan expressed his gratitude.
"Thank you!" Liya followed Qin Yan's lead and thanked Kami and Mr. Popo as well.
Then, her bright, watery eyes blinked as she looked at Qin Yan. She knew he had secured this for her sake, and her heart swelled with emotion.
"Lord Kami, do you know your own origins? Or rather... do you know where you came from?"
Suddenly, Qin Yan looked at Kami with a mysterious smile.
"What?"
Both Kami and Mr. Popo were stunned, unsure why Qin Yan would ask such a thing.
"What are you trying to say? Do you know something?" Kami frowned, his curiosity piqued.
"We came from another planet in the universe," Qin Yan said slowly.
"No wonder!"
Kami was surprised but quickly understood. Only in the vast universe could such powerful people exist. However, he was still confused. He didn't see what this had to do with him. "But... what does that have to do with me?"
"Actually, Lord Kami, you are also an alien. You are a Namekian from Planet Namek, the fourth planet of the 27th star system in the Lyra Constellation."
"Wha... what?" Kami gasped, his face written with disbelief.
Beside him, Mr. Popo was completely dazed, staring at Kami in a stupor.
"How is that possible?" Kami felt a flicker of doubt in his heart.
"You must have your own suspicions! You probably remember the valley where you appeared as a child, right? There was a house there, but that was actually the spaceship you arrived in. When the ship landed, an accident occurred,
causing you to lose some of your memories. You followed the voice prompts from the spaceship, which told you to wait for thirty years for your father to find you. But you waited thirty years and no one came, so you left that valley to travel the world, didn't you?"
Qin Yan explained calmly.
"That's exactly right!"
Kami was stunned. He hadn't expected Qin Yan to know the details so clearlydetails that only Mr. Popo was privy to.
"The reason your family never came for you was that a great change occurred on Planet Namek. Climate shifts caused the Namekians to face extinction. For your safety, your family sent you to Earth in that spaceship to escape. However, your family was unable to follow. In all probability... they are no longer with us."
Qin Yan laid out the reasons for Kami's presence on Earth.
"So that's it... To think I'm actually a Namekian, and that I had a family... Sigh..."
By now, Kami fully believed Qin Yan's words. Hearing about the fate of his homeland and his relatives, a sense of desolation and sorrow welled up within him.
"Then... how is Planet Namek now? Did everyone perish in that catastrophe?" Kami asked anxiously.
"Not necessarily. If they were all gone, we wouldn't know of the existence of Namekians," Qin Yan replied with a faint smile, hinting that they knew about Namek because they had encountered other Namekians before.
"That's good. That's good."
Kami's face lit up with joy, happy to know that his homeland and kin had survivors.
"Ah... I wonder if I'll ever have the chance to go back and see it for myself," Kami murmured sentimentally, his aging voice carrying both sorrow and expectation.
"If there's a chance, I can take you back to Planet Namek for a look."
Qin Yan suddenly made the unexpected offer.
