Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Training in the Primordial Mountains

Ten days later.

Qin Yan and his group had already ventured deep into the inner perimeter of the Primordial Mountains.

Inside a pitch-black, terrifying cavern, the air was thick with a rot-like, nauseating stench. The tunnels were draped in spiderwebs of all sizes and coated in a repulsive mucus. Bleached white bones were scattered along the path, creating a spine-chilling atmosphere. It was here that Luo Xuanyi and the others encountered a swarm of ferocious, oversized spiders.

Though these giant spiders had relatively low Power Levels roughly around sixty or seventy points making them no match for Luo Xuanyi's group in a direct confrontation,

they held the advantage of overwhelming numbers. Had Qin Yan not given each of them twenty Senzu Beans before they set out, they likely would have been unable to withstand the relentless onslaught.

Through several days of constant battle and mutual adjustment, the team had learned to coordinate their attacks perfectly, efficiently thinning the ranks of the giant spiders.

Finally, through their clever cooperation, they managed to slay the spider leader. With their commander dead, the remaining spiders scattered and fled in all directions. The group had secured another victory, overcoming a formidable foe.

Another twenty days passed.

Qin Yan's party had reached the heart of the primitive forest. Standing before them was a colossal, ancient tree that seemed to hold up the heavens.

It was a gnarled, majestic tree that pierced the clouds, its branches stretching out to blot out the sun. Looking up along the trunk, the lush, verdant canopy pierced the firmament until it vanished from sight; it had to be at least ten thousand meters tall.

The maximum diameter of the canopy spanned roughly a hundred miles. Its thick branches wound through the air like giant pythons, some coiling and others intertwining, creating a massive emerald parasol that hung between heaven and earth.

The massive trunk was hundreds of meters thick at its base. The smooth bark was etched with deep, scar-like marks the callous blades of time. Rotting branches occasionally bore witness to countless years of wind and rain, the shifting of rivers and mountains,

the turning of rings, and the fall of many companions. Having grown from a tiny sapling into a pillar of the ages standing firm between heaven and earth, this tree was at least ten thousand years old, yet it remained vibrant and full of life.

The roots were buried deep in the soil, though some occasionally broke through the surface in massive, rounded, earthy-yellow arcs before plunging back down to greedily absorb nutrients. The tree appeared robust and overflowed with vitality.

It stood like a guardian god, watching over the land, the forest, and the mountain range.

Roar!

Just as Qin Yan and the others stepped into the ancient tree's domain, a deafening tiger roar echoed throughout the world.

Qin Yan looked toward the source of the sound and saw a massive white tiger, over twenty meters long with shimmering silver fur, standing majestically upon one of the thick branches of the tree.

It was an exceptionally beautiful creature. Standing amidst the shadows of the branches, its body seemed to emit a white glow holy, sacred, and dignified. It possessed a pair of broad, snowy wings. As they unfurled slightly, the tiger looked even more beautiful and divine, resembling the wings of an angel.

The tiger's head was large and round, marked with black stripes. Upon its forehead, three horizontal lines intersected by a vertical one formed the character for "King," rendered in blue.

Its paws were wide and thick, its limbs sturdy and powerful. A long, elegant white tail flicked slightly, and its furry ears were relatively small in comparison.

This small feature made it look somewhat cute, yet the sharp sabre-teeth protruding from its mouth inspired dread. Its piercing, sky-blue eyes looked down upon Qin Yan's group with an overbearing aura.

Seeing Qin Yan and the others continuing to approach, the white tiger let out another roar. The soundwaves shook the forest and struck fear into the heart. Nearby, weaker beasts trembled and hid themselves, not daring to make a sound.

It seemed they had intruded upon the white tiger's territory. Radiating a dangerous and chilling aura, it fixed its predatory gaze on them, asserting its sovereignty. If Qin Yan took another step, the tiger would surely launch an attack.

Qin Yan marveled at the imposing and beautiful beast. Truly, the world was full of wonders.

The white tiger's Power Level was around 290. Not bad.

Qin Yan planned to let Liya gain some experience; this tiger was an excellent sparring partner. He wasn't worried about her getting hurt, as a month of training had already pushed her Power Level to over 320.

"Sugoi! So strong, and what a beautiful white tiger!" Luo Fei's eyes sparkled as he praised it.

"It really is gorgeous, isn't it, Sister Vivi? Xiaobei?" Luo Xuanyi was also captivated.

"Mhm, mhm," Xiaobei and Long Vivi nodded, their eyes glued to the tiger, completely enchanted by its appearance.

"Could this be the legendary ruler of the Primordial Mountains, the Saint King?" Long Vivi said as something clicked in her mind.

"The Saint King? What's that?" Luo Xuanyi and the others turned to her curiously.

"Legend says that deep within the southern Primordial Mountains lives a forest ruler known as the Saint King. He possesses strength that transcends a Holy Knight. I never expected the legend to be true," Long Vivi explained, her voice full of shock.

"What? Stronger than a Holy Knight? That's too terrifying. Let's get out of here!" The group was startled, their faces turning pale as they prepared to retreat.

"No need to rush. Isn't Qin Yan still here?" Long Vivi remained relatively calm. Seeing Qin Yan's composed expression, she felt he must have a way to handle it.

The group turned to Qin Yan. Seeing his indifferent face, they sighed in relief. Right, they had Qin Yan.

"Liya, go and trade a few blows with that big fellow," Qin Yan said casually, having no intention of stepping in himself.

"Okay!" Liya said crisply, rubbing her hands together as she stepped forward.

Her large, bell-like eyes stared at the white tiger, blinking innocently. She looked utterly adorable and without guile.

The little girl took to the air, slowly flying toward the tiger. Her aura surged rapidly, and a terrifying flame of energy erupted around her body.

Seeing that its warning had failed and that she was flying toward it, the white tiger felt greatly provoked. It flew into a total rage.

Exploding with a powerful aura, it flapped its wings and took flight. A massive gale surged as it opened its blood-red maw, baring sharp fangs, and lunged fiercely at Liya.

Liya met the charge head-on. With speed that shattered the air, she left only a sound behind, her form becoming a blur.

Bang! A massive collision, sounding like the clashing of steel, rang out.

Liya and the tiger collided, neither gaining the upper hand. They were evenly matched, as neither had used their full strength yet, both merely testing the other's depth.

Seeing the stalemate, they quickly separated before launching a new offensive.

Their speed was like lightning as they clashed repeatedly. Space vibrated with every impact, and the resulting air pressure spread outward like ripples on a pond.

"So fast! My eyes can't keep up at all. I can't see them!" Luo Xuanyi and the others were unable to track the combatants with the naked eye.

"You can't just use your eyes to watch their battle. You must use your heart. Sense it, feel their Qi. Only then will you see their movements. Watch closely and learn. A battle like this is a rare opportunity. Even gaining a small insight will be a huge harvest for you."

"Yes!" The group nodded solemnly, listening to every detail of Qin Yan's guidance.

They turned back to the high-altitude combat, trying to sense the rhythm of the fight. Gradually, following Qin Yan's instructions, they managed to barely keep up with the pace, though only barely. The gap in strength was simply too large, and they were still unfamiliar with sensing Qi. To fully understand such a battle, they still had a long way to go.

In the blink of an eye, Liya and the white tiger had already exchanged over a thousand blows.

After a long struggle, Liya finally spotted an opening. She leaped onto the white tiger's head and threw a heavy punch, slamming it squarely against the beast's skull.

The white tiger was sent flying, crashing toward the ground at extreme speed.

Boom! A thunderous sound erupted as the earth shook and cracked. Dirt turned over, sand and gravel sprayed into the air, and thick smoke rolled upward. The white tiger was buried deep in the ground.

"Liya! Great job! You're amazing! Go for it, beat him up!" Seeing Liya knock the tiger out of the sky, the group cheered excitedly. They waved their hands and punched the air, wishing they could join in, though they could only offer vocal support from the sidelines.

"Heehee!" Hearing the praise and encouragement, Liya showed her little white teeth and laughed happily, clearly enjoying the moment.

As the dust settled, the white tiger stood up unsteadily. It was seeing stars, its head spinning. It shook its massive head, trying to clear its vision. It seemed Liya's strike had done significant damage.

Seeing that it could still stand, Liya pressed her advantage.

She blurred to the tiger's side and unleashed a barrage of punches and kicks. The white tiger wailed in pain, struggling frantically. Its wings beat wildly against the ground, kicking up clouds of dust.

The battle had become completely one-sided. What followed was a ten-minute-long thrashing delivered by the little girl.

Awoooo!

The white tiger's piteous howls echoed through the air, sending chills down the spines of those who heard them. It was a brutal sight; the group actually began to feel a bit sorry for the tiger.

"That's enough, Liya," Qin Yan called out, putting a stop to the beating.

Hearing Qin Yan's voice, Liya immediately stopped. She turned to look at him, her face tilted in confusion. She looked incredibly doting and cute.

Qin Yan walked over to the pit where the white tiger lay. It was on its last breath, its body covered in wounds. Blood seeped from its mouth, nose, and ears. It was unable to move, only able to gasp for air.

Qin Yan stepped forward and placed his hand on the tiger's head. Feeling the hand, the white tiger felt helpless. It sensed its end was near and closed its eyes, awaiting the final judgment the end of its life.

However, Qin Yan did not take its life. Instead, he mentally activated the Beast Taming Chapter of the Grand Primeval Chaos Creation Dao Profound True Wonder Art. A white light appeared on his hand, accompanied by mysterious runes that bored into the tiger's head. A Beast Taming Ring was formed.

In that moment, a subtle connection was established between Qin Yan and the white tiger. A master-servant contract was forged; Qin Yan had successfully tamed the beast.

From this point on, nothing in the Primordial Mountains would be able to threaten Luo Xuanyi and the others. Qin Yan could now let them train in the surrounding area with peace of mind while he focused on his own cultivation of Instant Transmission.
