They spent the rest of the day moving through the park, and when the sun began to sink and the sky started bleeding pink and orange at the edges, Sebastian took her hand and led her away from the noise.
They didn't take the car, they walked. Viola didn't say a word about it, even when the path took them away from the park premises, because every moment beside him was something she wanted to hold onto. They walked hand in hand, away from the noise and the lights, him carrying the teddy bear and both bags of everything he had bought for her throughout the day.
But her mind kept wandering back to the tattoo out of curiosity. She was still turning it over in her head, wondering what design he had chosen and why he hadn't wanted her to see it yet, when he stopped walking, and she looked around and realized they had come to a stop in a darkened, quiet place where the only sound was the soft crying of crickets in the surrounding dark.
