The Black Mage was stunned by how Galen Yu knew the logic behind it.
But the appearance of the Eye of Ender struck him on a mental level.
Knowing nothing about such an item, he was being schooled by Galen Yu on two different fronts.
His arrogance was slowly crumbling.
"It has nothing to do with the Wither? It's not something you build?"
"That means it's found through the guidance of Ender Pearls... Oh no!"
"He's not actually going to find it, is he? My God!"
"A difficulty that so many Great Mages couldn't crack—solved just like that?"
"God Yu is amazing!"
At the Research Institute, Fries let out a laugh.
"I knew he'd find a way!"
Why the Ender Pearl suddenly gained a guidance function still required detailed investigation.
Galen Yu had certainly brought an incredible surprise this time.
"That retort was so cool!"
Even trapped in the wooden boat, the Black Mage's stubborn attitude was somewhat infuriating.
That retort left him utterly dazed; seeing that look of bewildered disbelief was immensely satisfying.
So what if he was a high-level Chunk creature? He was still blown away by Galen Yu!
On the Sky Island, the Wandering Mage burst into laughter.
"It's been a long time since I've seen you get shut down like that."
After teasing the Black Mage, he hurriedly caught up with Galen Yu.
"Please wait for me! I want to go with you on this journey!"
"Please don't leave me behind; I'm not entirely useless."
Fearing Galen Yu might abandon him, the Wandering Mage waved his staff.
Picking up the dropped Eye of Ender, Galen Yu felt a lightness in his body as several attributes appeared in his status bar.
[AGILITY] [INVISIBILITY] [PROTECTION]
Each lasted three hours—buffs perfectly suited for exploration.
The magic seemed to have a special effect allowing the two invisible individuals to see each other. Galen Yu looked at the approaching Wandering Mage with surprise.
"Fine, then let's go together."
He hadn't expected the Wandering Mage to have such a utility; it would save him the Potion of Invisibility in his bag.
A free invisibility effect was too good to pass up, so he agreed to take him along.
Having prepared plenty of Eyes of Ender beforehand, he threw another one and followed the direction it pointed.
Watching their departing figures, the Black Mage muttered to himself.
"Just because he has a way to find the Ender Dragon doesn't mean it'll work."
"Even if he does find it, so what!"
The Dragon Race was incredibly powerful; they might not even be able to defeat it!
Though he thought this, looking at the two made the Black Mage feel a bit apprehensive.
"But that kid is unnervingly talented. If he actually defeats the Ender Dragon, things are going to get very complicated..."
Realizing something, a look of deep solemnity crossed the Black Mage's eyes.
Focusing on the Eye of Ender in his hand, Galen Yu moved in a specific direction.
Despite the pursuit, he was actually a bit uncertain.
'The End Portal spawns randomly. I have no idea if it's near or far.'
If it didn't exist, this search would be a waste of effort.
But since the Eye of Ender could be thrown, it proved the portal definitely existed; it was just a matter of distance.
Chunks outside the Sky Island spawned randomly; if it was too far, the search could last until tomorrow.
He wasn't afraid of the search itself, but the foggy weather was a major hindrance to visibility—it was a hassle.
Fortunately, only two and a half hours later...
"Good luck! The Eye of Ender didn't break even after six uses!"
Seeing the guidance hovering nearby, Galen Yu picked the Eye of Ender up off the ground.
It truly was the essential key for The End, serving as both a guide and a trigger.
With every use, there was a chance for the Eye of Ender to explode and be destroyed.
It was about a 20% probability.
But probability was just a number; you only knew when you actually used it. If you were unlucky, there was no difference between 20% and 90%.
While playing multiplayer, Galen Yu had once seen a friend hit the jackpot ten times in a row—ten Eyes of Ender thrown, and ten shattered...
Of course, that was just 'a friend.' He wasn't making it up.
No, really!
With the Eye of Ender back in his inventory, Galen Yu switched directly to the Annihilation Cube.
With a sweep across the ground, a massive structure made of stone—a very specific kind of building—appeared.
"That little toy of yours is quite interesting. It has the aura of the Twilight Forest."
The Wandering Mage, who was about to use magic, stopped and glanced at the Annihilation Cube.
Having this was indeed convenient; he probably wouldn't even need a pickaxe.
"It does come from the Twilight Forest. What we're looking for is right below us."
After a brief exchange, he broke through the outer layer of stone, and Galen Yu entered the stronghold.
Strongholds varied in size, consisting of rooms and doors made primarily of stone bricks, mossy stone bricks, cracked stone bricks, and infested stone bricks.
While most areas had torches for light, they were sparse and scattered, and many zombies still lurked within.
With the invisibility effect still active, the zombies couldn't detect Galen Yu, allowing him to search the premises.
Scattered chests containing various loot could be found within the stronghold's corridors and storerooms.
Furthermore, the stronghold featured multiple types of rooms.
Each room had an entrance, which could be a simple 3x3 opening, a wooden door, or an iron door.
Or perhaps a 1x2 opening decorated with an arch made of iron bars.
Rooms might also have exits leading to other rooms or dead ends blocked by stone.
Rooms might also have exits leading to other rooms or dead ends blocked by stone.
His goal wasn't those chests; at most, he would just pop one open if he happened to be passing by.
There weren't many blocks of value to Galen Yu, so he only took a few as a token.
Soon, he heard a hissing sound near his ear.
"Dumb bugs!"
The familiar sound made Galen Yu immediately blurt out their name.
Silverfish—small, bug-like hostile mobs.
Silverfish spawners naturally generate in the End Portal room of the stronghold.
When spawning from a spawner, silverfish can only appear in areas with a light level of 11 or lower.
Their name was technically silverfish, but because of their behavior, many players—including Galen Yu—preferred to call them by another name.
"Dumb bugs?"
Repeating the words Galen Yu uttered, the Wandering Mage saw creatures darting around among the zombies, full of life.
They were grayish-white all over, covered in tiny bristles—little worms.
"I know these things. When idle, they burrow into nearby stone, cobblestone, stone bricks, mossy stone bricks, cracked stone bricks, chiseled stone bricks, or deepslate, turning the blocks into infested variants."
Once an infested block is destroyed, a silverfish spawns.
Their health and attack power weren't high, but they were overwhelming in numbers.
Encountering them while mining was a disgusting experience for anyone.
Of course, what impressed the Wandering Mage most was another of their attributes.
When they take damage from attacks or magic, other infested blocks in the vicinity break, spawning more silverfish as reinforcements.
These silverfish could see through walls and track you down from afar.
It was a good thing they had the invisibility effect; otherwise, the combination of silverfish and zombies would have taken them a long time to deal with.
Without using the Annihilation Cube, he carefully broke the spawner, and Galen Yu's expression relaxed.
Using the Annihilation Cube too close could easily destroy what he was looking for. Before him, the blocks were arranged neatly—sandy-colored bases with dark green corners.
Some of the blocks already had Eyes of Ender slotted into them. This was his goal.
The End Portal!
