Rukiyo and the elf locked eyes for a moment, the weight of his demand pressing down on her.
She steeled herself and teared her gaze away with a sharp exhale— her fingers tightening and loosening around the straps of her boots to anchor herself.
"I don't know who that is." She retorted back, voice edged with wariness. "So it's best to tell me who Reyhangul is first."
The elf tilted his head slightly, not in submission, but because he's reassessing how much she actually knows, thinking that she's probably just faking it.
His lips part to argue, then he closed them again.
The elf studied Rukiyo intently, his gaze sharpening which made her want to flinch and cower back— as if she wasn't doing that already, but that thought got thrown out of the window when he took a step toward her.
Rukiyo automatically took a step back as soon as he moved closer to the water's edge.
