Chapter 144 - CHAPTER 144

There was no warning as everything fell apart.

One moment the world was holding its breath.

The next moment.

Energy exploded without a sound.

The ground beneath their feet cracked deeper, not from wild pressure, but because two systems collided at the very same point. The air around them grew heavy, as if filled with invisible particles repelling each other.

Aurelia stood at the front line.

The white-gold light on her body expanded, stabilizing the space around her. Not attacking. Not forcing. Yet it was clear she would not back down.

The figure before her raised a hand.

Fragments on its body moved quickly, rearranging into a sharper form. The energy around it did not spread out, but was locked into an extremely precise structure.

"Interesting," Kael murmured softly from behind.

"He's not wasting energy."

Orion added,

"He's compressing it."

Ragnar grinned widely.

"Denser means harder."

Without warning.

The figure moved.

Fast.

Not just fast, but as if leaping through space.

In the blink of an eye.

It was already in front of Aurelia.

The first attack came.

Not a wave.

Not an explosion.

But a single slash of highly concentrated energy.

Aurelia raised her hand.

Light immediately formed a thin layer.

The collision occurred.

No loud sound.

But pressure spread in all directions.

The ground around them shattered into a circle.

Aurelia remained standing.

But her eyes narrowed slightly.

"Dense…"

She murmured.

The attack was not large.

But extremely sharp.

And almost pierced through.

The figure did not stop.

The second attack came.

Faster.

More precise.

But this time.

Ragnar had already moved.

He appeared from the left side, striking with full force.

The second collision happened.

This time it was harder.

Ragnar's wild energy collided with the figure's dense structure.

For a moment.

They were both stopped.

But only for a moment.

The figure spun around.

Its movements were efficient.

No wasted energy.

It parried Ragnar's attack with one small motion.

But it was enough to push him several meters back.

Ragnar laughed.

"Good!"

He advanced again.

But Kael immediately followed suit.

Unlike Ragnar.

Kael's movements were smoother.

More measured.

He did not attack directly.

But altered the flow around the figure.

Trying to disrupt its structure.

And for the first time.

A reaction appeared.

The fragments on the figure's body trembled.

Not much.

But enough.

Orion immediately seized the moment.

He raised his hand.

No light.

No great surge of energy.

Yet.

The space around the figure shifted.

Pressure increased.

As if gravity itself was pressing from all directions.

The figure's movements slowed.

A little.

But enough.

Aurelia saw the opening.

And she moved.

Her steps were not fast.

But certain.

The light on her body flowed forward.

Not as an attack.

But as an enforced balance.

The figure responded at once.

Its fragments rearranged.

Trying to resist.

But this time.

It did not fully succeed.

Aurelia's light touched it.

And in an instant.

The two energies collided.

But not like before.

This was not a clash.

But… a pull and push.

Connection vs severance.

Flow vs structure.

Aurelia furrowed her brow.

She could feel it.

This figure was not just strong.

But… consistent.

Unwavering.

Uninfluenced by emotion.

Not like Ragnar.

Not like her.

This was a system of pure logic.

"Interesting…"

The figure said.

Even as it held its ground.

"You are not attacking."

Aurelia stared at it.

"I don't need to."

She replied.

Pressure increased.

But did not explode.

More like two currents pressing against each other endlessly.

Behind them.

Ragnar was already standing again.

He wiped a thin trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth.

"He's tough."

Kael nodded.

"And efficient."

Orion kept his focus.

"We can't fight him the usual way."

Aurelia heard everything.

But she did not turn around.

She kept her focus on the figure before her.

"You want to sever everything…"

She said softly.

"Yet you still stand in this world."

The figure did not answer immediately.

But the pressure around it rose.

"We will create a new world."

It said.

"One that does not need this."

The light on Aurelia's body brightened slightly.

"By destroying the old one?"

The figure did not hesitate.

"If necessary."

Silence.

But this time.

Sharper than before.

Aurelia closed her eyes for a moment.

Not to give up.

But to feel.

The network behind her.

All the nodes.

All the connections.

All the lives that depended on that balance.

She opened her eyes.

And this time.

Her light changed.

Deeper.

Wider.

More… alive.

"If that's the case…"

She said softly.

"…I will not let you."

In an instant.

The light exploded.

Not wild.

But expanding.

Reaching the area around them.

Stabilizing.

Connecting.

The figure was pushed back at once.

For the first time.

It lost its position.

Its fragments trembled.

More violently than before.

Ragnar advanced immediately.

But this time.

Not alone.

Kael on the right side.

Orion from behind.

They moved together.

Not like before.

Not separate.

But… in sync.

Attacks came from three directions.

The figure tried to hold its ground.

But the pressure was too great.

It was pushed back.

Farther.

Deeper.

But

It did not shatter.

It stopped.

Several meters away from them.

Its body rearranged.

Faster.

Denser.

And this time.

Its aura changed.

Darker.

More… serious.

"You…"

It said softly.

"…adapt faster than anticipated."

Aurelia stepped forward.

"And you are too confident."

She retorted.

Silence.

But only for a moment.

The figure raised both hands.

And this time—

The sky truly cracked.

Not an illusion.

Not a slight distortion.

But… opening up.

From the crack.

More energy descended.

Not one.

Not two.

But… many.

Ragnar laughed loudly.

"Now this is a war!"

Kael sighed.

"Looks like we won't be finished anytime soon."

Orion stared at the sky.

"This is just the beginning."

Aurelia did not move.

But her light remained burning.

Brighter than before.

Because now.

This was no longer a one-on-one battle.

This was the start of a much larger conflict.

And the world.

Would change because of it.
