I felt smaller than I'd ever felt. Maybe it was Troy's towering size, or the stares - more like glares and daggers - being shot in my direction.
Their stares were hateful and judgy and it made me wonder what I'd possibly done for them to look at me this way.
My father was the first to speak, his voice silencing the whispers and murmurs around the hall.
"She's your Luna, why shouldn't she be here?" An answer joined with another question. My father didn't seem to approve of my being here, even though as Troy had made clearly to him, I was Luna. It was my right to be here or not if I wished it.
"Because clearly she's not fit to be Luna or even CEO of the so-called company she runs…" here we fucking go again. I rolled my eyes at those words. I should have known this was why he was bitter.
