High damage from the left fist, high damage from the right fist. Weaving basic attacks between skills, combining awareness with technique.

Kael perfectly interpreted these mottos with his actions. With just two clinical jabs, Tatara—the cold, high-ranking executive of Aogiri—was beaten out of human shape. If not for the Ghoul's legendary constitution and high-speed regeneration, he would have been flatlined instantly.

Even with his consciousness blurred, Tatara's biological instincts took over. His long, thick Bikaku Kagune lashed out, winding around Kael's body like an obsidian boa constrictor. Kirishima Ayato seized the opening, unfolding his Ukaku to fire a saturation barrage of crystalline shards.

Ding-ding-ding-ding.

The shards struck Kael's skin and shattered into dust. Aside from shredding his CCG uniform, Ayato's full-power attack failed to leave even a microscopic scratch.

"What the hell is this guy?" Ayato shouted, his heart hammer-vibrating in his chest. Who was the real monster here? Was Kael's tactical suit hiding an experimental alloy chassis or was his flesh simply "overclocked" beyond the limits of nature?

Kael ignored the "mosquito" behind him. He grabbed the Bikaku constricting his torso, applied a burst of torque, and tore the Kagune into segments before slamming his hand onto Tatara's face. Bone fractures echoed through the corridor as Kael applied pressure. Tatara roared, attempting one final strike with a reformed Bikaku tip, but the Kagune shattered against Kael's chest like an egg hitting a rock.

In that moment, Tatara realized the truth: Kael hadn't sent Akira away for backup—he'd sent her away so he could stop holding back.

Driven by the absolute threat of death, Tatara's body erupted. A massive amount of Rc cells shrouded him in a complete exoskeleton armor. This wasn't Jason's unstable half-form; this was a true Kakuja. However, as the armor formed, the rationality in Tatara's eyes was swallowed by a crimson madness.

"DIE, DIE, DIE—!!"

Tatara's arm transformed into a massive barrel, and a terrifying concentration of thermal energy began to brew. Ayato and Nico immediately retreated, sensing the high-temperature shockwave.

A jet of fire exceeding a thousand degrees erupted, turning the concrete walls into soft "candle wax." But when the smoke cleared, Kael was still standing there. His clothes were gone, revealing a body carved like a marble statue, but he was physically unbothered.

Under Kael's indifferent gaze, Tatara's survival instinct briefly restored his sanity. He tried to resist, but Kael grabbed him by the head and slammed him through the reinforced concrete floors. BOOM. The sound of successive explosions merged into one as the Owl's commander was driven into the foundation of the building, his body left in a mollusk-like heap.

Kael turned toward the rooftop, smiling at Ayato and Nico. The smile was bright and neat, but to Ayato, it looked like the maw of a predator.

"What a strong man..." Nico murmured, his body trembling with a mix of terror and masochistic excitement.

"He's about to kill us, and you're in heat?!" Ayato hissed.

Kael flicked a discarded Quinque into his hand with his toe. In a blur of motion, he appeared behind them.

Splat.

A fountain of blood gushed as Nico's head was separated from his neck. Before Ayato could even process the spray, Kael's blade was at his throat.

"Blue hair, Ukaku, Rabbit mask..." Kael mused. "You remind me of a girl who's currently doing my laundry and warming my bed."

Ayato's eyes widened. "What did you do to Touka?!"

"I'm having her serve me for the rest of her life," Kael replied playfully.

"You... you didn't kill her?" Ayato's brain lagged. He had been ready for a suicide charge to avenge her, and now he was hearing she was a maid?

"She's too pretty to waste," Kael said, pressing the blade. "But don't worry, I'll notify her of your death later. It'll be a touching reunion in the afterlife."

"Wait! I'm her brother! Ayato Kirishima!" Ayato tore off his mask, desperate to prove his value to the "human" before him.

"Understood," Kael nodded. "I'll make sure to tell her you died with a very confused expression."

Kael stopped his play as a slender figure landed on a nearby mast. A girl wrapped in bandages and a red cloak watched him silently. Beside her was a tall man in a mask—Noro—carrying the unconscious Tatara.

"The three executives. Finally, the full set," Kael said.

Eto Yoshimura stared at Kael, her voice echoing with a haunting curiosity. "Are you really human?"

"If I'm not human, what am I? A hybrid like you, One-Eyed Owl?"

Eto froze. "You know about me?"

"I've talked to your father, Kuzen. He's currently a guest in my lab," Kael said, his gaze piercing through her bandages. "I'm currently recruiting research subjects. Join the team, Eto. Help me crack the genetic code of Ghouls, and we can make the 'mutual transformation' a reality."

"Research subject?" Eto laughed—a dry, hollow sound. "Why don't you join us instead? We can change the world together."

"Can't do it. I'm a good guy," Kael waved his hand. "Aogiri is a bit too 'terrorist-chic' for my taste."

The bandages on Eto's body began to drift and dance. In a flash of Rc-cell saturation, she transformed. A hideous, giant monster with a single crimson eye took her place, letting out a roar that shook the Ward 11 sky.

"Roar—!!"

Kael raised his fists, a faint smirk on his face. "In every relationship, the first meeting is the most important. I'll make sure to leave a deep impression, Eto."
