Benjamin snapped out of his daze as his breathing turned uneven, his chest rising and falling rapidly while the memories of that night clung tightly to his mind, refusing to let go, and for a moment he simply stared ahead as if he could still see the swarm of infected rushing toward him, the screams of his teammates echoing in his ears as his fingers curled slightly against the bed.
His head turned sharply toward Camile, his expression twisting as anger quickly replaced the fear in his eyes. "Untie me," he said, his voice low at first but laced with tension that was ready to snap at any moment. "Untie me right now."
Camile did not move, she remained in her spot with a calm expression.
