The soft hue of the golden rays of the sun slowly penetrated through the window, landing softly on Laurel's face.
Her eyes softened as she stared at herself in the mirror. The suit fitted her better than she had imagined. Her long black hair was pulled up into a braided ponytail.
The black leather pants fitted her perfectly, and the black zip-up leather long sleeve accentuated her curves. Her weapons were strapped around her waist.
She let out a sigh before carrying her backpack.
"You should have my sword so it wouldn't be weird when I take it out." Ling Xuan's reluctant voice rang through her head.
"You are letting me touch your sword? That's new." Laurel said with a teasing tone.
"I'm not letting you touch it, it's because we have no other choice." Ling Xuan said, though Laurel could already imagine her gritting her teeth.
"Fine," Laurel muttered.
