Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Back to the surface of the original world

The afternoon sun in Tokyo felt ordinary too ordinary.

People walked, cars passed, the city sounds just as they always were.

But Reiji, in a black hoodie, stood still on the sidewalk as if the world didn't touch him.

The wind ruffled his long black hair.

His eyes were red, yet calm. Empty of emotion.

"…Back again, huh,"

he murmured softly.

He sensed two auras in the air Mijarun and Ashia.

They were still aloft, still flying from the force he'd thrown them with earlier.

Reiji raised a single finger.

As if pulling invisible strings, he grasped space, and the two bodies slowly materialized, as if the world had just remembered they belonged there.

Mijarun held Ashia, who was still slightly unconscious.

Mijarun:

"B-Brother… what actually happened back there…?"

Reiji only stared straight ahead.

Reiji:

"It doesn't matter. What matters is you're safe."

His voice was light, but his eyes… were empty.

As if he were seeing something far greater than this world.

Ashia slowly opened her eyes.

The moment she saw Reiji, she fell silent.

Ashia:

"…Rei… you… you're still alive."

Reiji didn't answer.

He simply nodded slightly as if that was enough.

But the earth seemed to tremble not physically, but the very fabric of reality itself realized something:

Zarabis had returned to a world that was never meant to contain him.

Mijarun looked around, feeling the same thing.

Mijarun:

"…Brother, if you stay here… this world might crack again."

Reiji just scoffed softly.

Not in anger. Just… tired.

Reiji:

"I know. But… there's someone I need to meet first."

Ashia and Mijarun were surprised.

Ashia:

"Who…?"

Reiji looked at the city buildings, the sky, the reflections of the lights.

Everything felt fragile.

Reiji:

"Someone who once spoke that name."

He began to walk.

Soundlessly. Without a tremor.

Yet the space around him seemed to bow down.

Tokyo's sky remained calm.

But Reiji raised his hand slowly, as if holding something invisible.

The air vibrated faintly.

The narrative itself seemed to reel back its threads.

And from the empty space beside the sidewalk…

Yuka Naichi slowly appeared, like someone the world had just remembered again.

Her body was weak, unconscious.

Mijarun:

"…Brother, she-"

Reiji:

"I never killed her.

I simply removed her from reality."

Silence fell.

Mijarun fell silent this wasn't just power; this was authority.

In the Previous Narrative Dimension

Within a boundless white space,

countless books floated like tiny galaxies.

In the center sat a girl with long silver-blue-purple hair, wearing a dress of cosmic ink.

Her eyes were calm too calm.

Violiye

Queen of All Meta-Divine Creators.

Author of the narratives of existence itself.

She spoke as she wrote:

Violiye:

"Hmph… usually you erase ones like her.

This time you told me to keep her.

What's going on?"

Reiji, in his true form, just smiled faintly.

Reiji:

"Nothing much.

I just… want to see something happen on its own.

Don't change the story."

Violiye: (scoffing softly, but her eyes were gentle)

"My… it's scary when you smile like that.

Fine then… I'll keep her in my book."

Reiji bowed slightly a small respect between equals.

The connection cut off.

Back to the World

Reiji touched Yuka's forehead and…

all memories of Reiji and Mijarun vanished.

Yuka woke slowly.

Her eyes were confused, innocent, alive. No longer the person who had known tragedy.

Yuka:

"…Eh? I… I fainted, didn't I?"

but she smiled warmly, as if no tragedy had ever occurred.

Reiji immediately introduced himself as if they had just met.

Reiji:

"My name is Reiji. This is my sister, Mijarun. We… just moved to this city."

Yuka:

"Oh!"

She smiled brightly. "I'm Yuka Naichi. I'm 16.

I go to the Hero Academy!"

Mijarun was instantly surprised and raised her hand.

Mijarun:

"Hero Academy? Brother! Brother! I want to try going to a school like that!"

Reiji turned, his face still flat, but with a faint hint of warmth.

Reiji:

"Hmm. Sounds interesting.

Alright. We'll join."

Yuka's eyes sparkled like the sun:

Yuka:

"Then let's go sign up together!

I'll show you the way to the academy!"

Reiji, Mijarun, Ashia (still sleeping on Mijarun's back), and Yuka

began to walk through the crowds of Tokyo.

However…

Behind them, the sky trembled almost imperceptibly.

As if the name that must not be spoken had once again stepped into the world's narrative.

End Scene

A new journey begins:

"The Hero Academy where the normal world meets something that is not human."
