"My little mischief….. that was a very bad idea for you."
What's…what's happening? My senses… I feel so…so hazy right now.
"I told you. But you never listen. It's like everything I say enters one ear and comes out of the other one."
Allen's voice sounded very different. His voice was much deeper and it felt like I could almost taste it. Honey, mint, cedar.
"What's….going on?" I could barely get the words out.
"Stay still Ezra. Please do not move."
"But I can't—"
"It's an order." What was that?
That didn't sound anything like Allen. I managed to look up at him and holy smoke. Allen looked completely different, so very different.
He was an entirely new person but if you looked closely, you could still see traces of him. He'd somehow grown bigger than me and his eyes were fuller than they were before. His hair was whiter and he looked dangerously hot.
