Daniel's body began releasing greenish-yellow magic while he remained in the crater. The energy seeped from his skin like a dirty, thick, ancient vapor, slowly covering him while blood and dust still stained his face.
Seeing this, the gigantic assassin instinctively stepped back, sensing the danger of getting too close to that putrid aura. Even someone like him, made of muscle, blood, and madness, immediately understood that touching that magic was a terrible idea.
As Daniel felt his body renewing itself, he began to rise. Despite the blows, he felt an incredible clarity. The pain was still there, but it no longer crushed him like before, and for the first time in several minutes he could breathe without feeling like he was going to break apart.
