"I don't like this," Dexmon cut in. "Neither does my wolf."
Tiberon gave his son the flattest look in his considerable arsenal of flat looks. The look was so flat it could have been used as a level.
"Your wolf does not get a say. Your wolf has been kicked out of my training arena twice."
Dex's mouth closed.
"Think of it this way," Hyran said, shifting to the tactical register that both Alphas responded to because the tactical register was the language they had been trained in and the training overrode the visceral when the tactical was sound. "If Serena needs to shift or de-shift while either of you is in wolf form, it will no longer break your shifts. If she takes a hit and she is in pain, you will still be standing. You will still be fighting. You will still be between her and whatever caused the pain."
He looked at Dex. Looked at Fin. Looked at Serena.
