Chapter 187 - Chapter 186  -  Alex, You Bastard, Come Out and Explain This!

The scene shifted between two perspectives: first through the eyes of Retsu Unohana, then through Harribel's.

From Unohana's point of view, the figure sleeping inside the sealing crystal was Sosuke Aizen, the very same Aizen who had been defeated by Ichigo Kurosaki in the great war ten years ago. But when the image changed to what Harribel saw, everything was different.

Aizen was not there.

What lay sealed at the center of that sacred prison was not the man himself, but his zanpakuto.

Kyoka Suigetsu.

For a few seconds, the entire world seemed to forget how to breathe.

Then the comments section exploded.

"What the hell is going on?"

"That's Kyoka Suigetsu. I'd recognize it even if it were reduced to ashes. I literally bought a replica yesterday."

"Wait… so for the past ten years, the wedge maintaining the balance of the three worlds wasn't Aizen himself, but his sword?"

"That actually makes sense. Aizen had already evolved into something close to a god in the previous ending. If his zanpakuto became part of his divine body, then it would qualify as a substitute pillar."

"But why do Unohana and the others see Aizen, while Harribel sees the sword?"

"Is this also Kyoka Suigetsu's power?"

Questions poured in one after another, each more unsettling than the last. No one had an answer. Yet, almost at the same time, the same terrifying possibility began to form in the minds of countless viewers across the world.

Sosuke Aizen was still alive?

On-screen, Unohana spoke again, her voice calm enough to feel almost cruel in that suffocating chamber.

"You have seen Aizen. Is that enough?"

Harribel remained silent for a moment. Her eyes stayed fixed on the sealing crystal, as though she wanted to pierce through the layers of light and ice by sheer force of will. Then she asked in a low voice:

"May I be left alone with Lord Aizen for a while?"

"No."

Unohana's answer came without the slightest hesitation.

There was no hostility in her expression, but there was no room for negotiation either. She would never allow one of Aizen's most loyal followers to remain alone in front of that seal. No one could predict what someone like Harribel might do if she were given even the smallest opening.

At that moment, Harribel also realized that what she was seeing was different from what Unohana saw.

But she was not foolish enough to say it out loud.

She merely buried that discovery deep inside her heart, keeping it as a silent warning, then turned and followed Unohana out.

Yet just before she crossed the final step out of the inner hall, Harribel stopped.

As if something had called to her.

She turned back.

The camera closed in on her emerald eyes, and those pupils, which had remained steady even through war and despair, trembled violently.

Because behind the sealed Kyoka Suigetsu, in the deepest part of the shadow, a figure slowly stepped out from the darkness.

His entire face was not shown. The light revealed only the bridge of his nose, his lips, and the sharp line of his chin. But that alone was enough.

A smile appeared there.

Elegant.

Familiar.

Carrying such overwhelming pressure that even the air itself seemed to tighten around it.

Harribel's eyes widened. There was shock in them, but also something deeper, something unbearably close to longing.

The figure said nothing. He merely smiled at her for a brief moment before retreating, little by little, until the darkness swallowed him again.

Then Sosuke Aizen's voice, performed by Alex, slowly rose as narration, low and distant, as if it came from a place beyond the world.

"Spirit King… perhaps this world is not as worthless as I once believed."

The screen darkened for a moment before showing Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Orihime Inoue, and the other members of the main group, each of them moving forward with their own lives.

"Was that the reason you lent your power to Ichigo Kurosaki? And yet… once fear is lost, this world's tedious history of conflict will only continue to repeat itself."

Aizen's voice did not sound angry.

Nor did it sound defeated.

There was a calmness in it that felt almost cruel, as though he were observing all of existence from a height no one else could reach.

"Even so, human beings will never abandon the hope of exploring the unknown. That act of taking a step forward in order to push back fear… mankind gave it a name."

The narration paused.

Then, with a depth that seemed to pass straight through the screen, Aizen spoke the final word.

"Courage."

The final scene of the final season of Bleach froze on the smiling faces of the protagonists.

The ending theme began.

For several seconds, there was only silence.

Then, as if a dam had burst, Bleach fans across the globe erupted. Comments flooded the screen, covering not only the faces of the characters in the ending video, but every empty space between them.

"Holy hell! Even at the very end, did Aizen still win?"

"It's over? That's it? Then what actually happened? Is Aizen alive or not?"

"Unohana must have been under Kyoka Suigetsu, right? The sealed Aizen is fake. The real Aizen has been free this whole time."

"Then why could Harribel see the real form?"

"Maybe because Harribel was never affected by Kyoka Suigetsu. According to her memories, she didn't follow Aizen because he defeated her in battle like the others. She followed him because he saved her. So it's possible she never saw Kyoka Suigetsu's release."

"Did Aizen evolve even further in the instant before Ichigo struck him down in the previous episode?"

"I think you're all overthinking this. Couldn't Harribel have just seen an illusion because she missed him?"

"That's even less likely."

The arguments had no end. With every theory that appeared, ten more followed.

Under normal circumstances, fans would have done what fans always did: wait obediently for the next episode, the next explanation, the next reveal.

But this was the finale.

The definitive ending.

Who the hell placed a cliffhanger like that in the final episode?

It left everyone suspended between satisfaction and pain. It was not pure disappointment, nor was it simple anger. It felt more like standing before a half-open door and knowing no one would ever let you step through it.

When the ending song finished, one large line of text appeared in the center of the screen.

Bleach - The End.

The moment those words appeared, the fans who had been arguing fiercely just one second earlier all seemed to stop at once.

The comment section, which had been suffocating under theories and debates, slowly filled with the same four words.

Flowers for the ending.

It was over.

This time… it was truly over.

"I can't! I still can't accept this!"

In a boys' dormitory at a performing arts academy, one of Ethan's roommates nearly jumped off his bed, clutching his phone as if he wanted to crush it.

"Ethan, call Alex right now. Ask him what that ending means. Was that shadow really Aizen, or was it just something Harribel imagined?"

"Exactly! Ask him!"

"If I don't get an answer, I swear I won't be able to sleep for the rest of the month."

Ethan gave a helpless, bitter smile.

"You really think I have the guts to bother Director Alex over something like this? Don't drag me into it. If you want to know that badly, go leave comments under his post yourselves."

The three roommates exchanged looks. With no better option, they opened their phones and went straight to social media.

But the moment they entered, they realized that countless people had already done exactly that.

Less than five minutes after Bleach officially ended, the number of comments under Alex's latest post had already reached an absurd amount. Every time the page refreshed, the count rose by thousands.

The comments pushed to the very top happened to be the exact questions countless fans around the world wanted answered most.

"Alex, you scumbag, come out and explain! Is the mother of Ichigo's son Rukia or Orihime?"

"Did Harribel see the real Aizen at the end? How did he escape Ichigo's final strike?"

"Did you do this to set up the next Bleach project?"

"Did Harribel see something different from Unohana because she was never affected by Kyoka Suigetsu?"

As for whether viewers were satisfied with the ending of Bleach, the honest answer was yes.
