"Good afternoon, Mr Feng."
I nodded at the security guard whose eyes immediately went wide. He quickly hid the metal detector in his hand behind his back, offering me a low bow.
The tiny D-Gen Omega receptionist hurried off her seat, rushing to open the elevator doors for me as usual, knowing I wasn't stopping for anything.
Somehow, it seemed my unwell state scared them more that my healthy state did.
And who could blame them? I saw myself in the mirror this morning.
The elevator door dinged, and the receptionist who had accompanied me scurried out first to go announce my presence, while I followed closely behind.
I frowned when I got to the door of Yichen's office.
The receptionist, when she noticed my close proximity gasped.
"Sorry, sir. I dont know what happened. I—I'll get someone to clean it up." And with that, she disappeared back into the elevator, leaving me still rooted in my spot beside what looked like a wrecked bin.
