Chapter 556 - Atavistic Charizard

"Gym Leader Feng Che, you must be thoroughly astonished as to how I can trigger a manual Gigantamax overwrite without relying on the localized Power Spot energy clusters of the Galar region," Zera called out, his tone dripping with supreme arrogance.

"The foundational catalyst is the specialized energy dormant within my own cellular blueprint—the Dragon Command Force."

"My internal core contains an exceptionally vast, limitless reservoir of dragon force. It seamlessly acts as a direct substitute for Galar's ambient radiation, allowing me to reshape the biological matrix of any Dragon-type that shares a flawless psychological link with my consciousness, pushing them into their ultimate giant form."

"Concurrently, I can channel this exact same force directly into a standard Key Stone, bypassing traditional limitations to force an advanced Mega Transformation across my stable without requiring a corresponding Mega Stone for the partner."

The Warden's revelation fell like a thunderbolt in Feng Che's mind, instantly unlocking a massive, unexplored conceptual avenue within his tactical calculations.

"Are you stating that your partners can achieve a full Mega Transformation without requiring an explicit, matching Mega Stone anchor?" Feng Che inquired, his curiosity genuinely piqued.

"Precisely. I discovered that as long as a commander possesses a raw Key Stone and the evolutionary resonance between trainer and partner has reached the absolute theoretical ceiling, the internal aura alone can override the material prerequisites," Zera answered, entirely unbothered by sharing his clan's secrets.

This implies that as long as I command a baseline Key Stone matrix, I can theoretically authorize an unrestricted Mega Transformation across any qualified asset in my stable without chasing down region-locked minerals... The revelation opened a magnificent new world of competitive engineering for Feng Che.

The moment this promotional circuit concludes, I must design a specialized laboratory chamber to systematically test these parameters, he calculated.

He lifted his gaze to study the massive building-sized monolithic titanium skyscraper hovering over the field, a cool smile playing across his lips.

"Incineroar, let's match their scale. Expand!"

The magma giant unhinged its jaws, violently siphoning and condensing the loose volcanic slag covering the floor. Its physical mass multiplied exponentially as its cellular boundaries tore outward.

A blazing, golden Omega Crest manifested cleanly above its forehead.

Incineroar entered its absolute, maximum-potency Primal Reversion State.

The primal titan slammed both paws heavily onto the shattered concrete, forcing a massive, roiling ocean of fresh subterranean lava to erupt from the deep faults, anchoring its lower frame within the boiling sea.

"Historical records indicate that the continent deity, Groudon, commands an infinite stamina reservoir as long as its physical core maintains constant friction with active lava," Chief Sky observed from the high gallery, his eyes narrowing. "I wonder if Feng Che's Incineroar has successfully duplicated that specific environmental recovery protocol."

"Even if it falls short of an infinite loop, its current material density should be more than adequate to engage that steel tower on equal terms," Aula added, his voice tense.

Harnessing its amplified physical torque, the primal Incineroar manifested two massive, five-meter-long Precipice Blades composed of hyper-compressed lava, swinging the molten swords in a devastating cross-cut aimed straight at the skyscraper's foundation.

"Gigantamax Duraludon, crush the vector! Max Steelspike!" Zera bellowed.

Two gargantuan, building-sized alloy claws descended from the clouds, their material density extreme as they locked onto the magma swords to grind the trajectory into a complete kinetic stalemate.

Having entered its Gigantamax rewrite, Duraludon's legendary defensive density had completely returned; however, due to its immense, structural mass, it had permanently sacrificed its autonomous magnetic levitation metrics, anchoring its base firmly to the bedrock.

The steel colossus slammed its massive lower foundation into the floor. BOOM! The earth split as hundreds of skyscraper-sized metallic pillars erupted from the subterranean pocket, thrusting upward to impale the primal cat.

Incineroar merely flexed its core, a blazing corona of incandescent, white-hot thermal fire erupting from its hide. Before the giant alloy spikes could make terminal contact with its chest, the extreme ambient heat vaporized the metal, converting the reinforced pillars into a harmless waterfall of liquid iron.

"Gigantamax Duraludon, adjust parameters! Deploy Max Rockfall walls!" Zera adjusted his offensive matrix instantly.

A series of monolithic, hyper-reinforced steel-composite blast walls erupted around Incineroar's flanks to box it in. But before the defensive enclosure could finalize its seal, Incineroar's primary Precipice Blade tore through the airspace.

The colossal iron walls were cleanly bisected like cheap cardboard before the cutting edge of the volcanic sword.

"Beautifully executed, Incineroar. Melt it down—Flamethrower!"

A monumental, tree-trunk-sized pillar of white-hot thermal plasma erupted from Incineroar's maw, slamming squarely into the center of the skyscraper structure.

Under the continuous exposure to the absolute-maximum fire art, the polished alloy walls of Gigantamax Duraludon began turning an iridescent, glowing crimson red at a visible rate. The massive skyscraper was forced backward, its heavy base carving massive trenches into the granite as it reeled from the heat.

The steel giant was visibly experiencing structural failure under the extreme thermal load.

"Duraludon, execute the final trajectory! Max Wyrmwind!" Zera screamed, risking everything on a maximum-yield offensive cascade.

The colossus braced its foundation and slammed its upper building-plates down into the earth, triggering a catastrophic, high-magnitude earthquake that completely unraveled the structural integrity of the active lava field.

Harnessing the violent concussive rebound of the shifting plates, it launched its entire massive skyscraper mass into the high sky before reversing its alignment, dropping downward like a falling mountain of solid iron to crush Incineroar under pure gravitational weight.

"Dropping an entire corporate high-rise out of the clouds to force a physical crush? Desperate play, Warden," Feng Che sneered, a look of cool mockery crossing his face.

"Incineroar, drop them with Precipice Blades!"

The subterranean fault lines ruptured completely. An endless array of colossal, glowing volcanic swords tore through the shifting dunes, their razor-sharp rock edges pointed straight toward the belly of the descending colossus.

SHUCK! SHUCK! SHUCK!

A series of deafening, metallic tearing sounds echoed through the Coliseum. The legendary magma swords bored cleanly through the reinforced base structures of the skyscraper, impaling the titan mid-air.

Duraludon's Gigantamax aura unraveled instantly. Like a structural balloon losing its internal pressure, its massive skyscraper silhouette rapidly dissolved into trails of dark-purple energy particles, its true body plummeting out of the sky.

"Return, Duraludon!" Zera shouted, his reflexes top-tier as he snapped his luxury ball to secure his partner mid-fall. If he allowed his winded alloy dragon to crash into the active volcanic slag below, the thermal shock would result in immediate biological termination.

Concurrently, Incineroar dropped out of its primal giant configuration, its breathing coming in heavy, exhausted gasps as the immense cellular strain emptied its remaining stamina reserves.

"Return and rest, my friend. Exceptional service," Feng Che murmured, clicking his Luxury Ball to withdraw his feline ace.

The battlefield was currently a smoking, apocalyptic wasteland of bubbling, dark-red volcanic lava.

To close his final gate, Zera slowly extracted an ancient, heavy Ultra-Ball from his central holster. When the flash of light finalized, the creature that hovered over the boiling lava was a magnificent Mega Charizard X that radiated a terrifying, primordial bloodline frequency.

"An atavistic Mega Charizard X...?" Feng Che's eyes widened slightly, a genuine flash of technical greed coloring his gaze as he took in the specimen. "An extraordinary genetic restoration. Where under heaven did you manage to isolate a pedigree of this caliber?"

"My Charizard was recovered from the absolute deepest sector of the League's central conservation archives," Zera explained, a soft, uncharacteristically tender look crossing his fierce features as his gaze settled on his anchor.

"When it originally hatched into its Charmander phase within the test beds, its radical grey-black pigment mutation caused the local research clerks to classify it as a malformed, genetically defective cripple."

"It spent its early developmental cycle starving, locked away in an isolated enclosure because its baseline metabolic parameters couldn't parse standard nutrient pastes. It was sitting on the absolute brink of systemic organ failure when I discovered it."

"I broke the lab locks, brought it into my clan's grounds, and systematically verified that its anomalous pigment wasn't a defect—it was the explicit manifestation of a pure Atavistic Archetype."

"The exact millisecond its cellular walls finalized its evolution into a Charizard, its dormant ancestral traits awakened, granting me dominion over this ultimate, prehistoric dragon."

"Charizard! Evaporate the environment! Drain this lava field dry!" Zera ordered sharply.

The grey-black dragon opened its jaws, manifesting an incredible, low-pressure vacuum matrix. The endless pools of boiling volcanic magma covering the floor were violently siphoned into its maw like a river flowing into a black hole.

It delivered a loud, rumbling, satisfied belch. When the smoke cleared, the churning lava field had been completely neutralized, the liquid rock cooled and compressed into solid, black volcanic glass.

"Come forth, Corviknight!"

Feng Che tossed his luxury ball, deploying his towering, steel-armored raven into the sky—the second asset he had ever integrated into his career roster.

"A pure Galarian Corviknight... a highly disciplined, rigid standard," Zera nodded in military appreciation.

"Let us bring this chronicle to its absolute definitive conclusion, Gym Leader!"

"Charizard, Blast Burn!"

The atavistic dragon unhinged its jaws, a massive, hyper-compressed orb of brilliant, white-hot Blue Fire erupting from its core to obliterate the airspace as it screamed toward the raven.
