Never in his life of priority has he seen people put first,did he see the villagers' way of thinking.
The casualty was being fanned instead of being bandaged on her bleeding head.
"Are you going to treat the girl or act clueless like us as well ?" one of the villagers asked the doctor while tapping him out of thought.
He approached her then swiftly tied a bandage on her head."Carry her to a proper place so I can examine her condition. "he ordered.
The villagers directed a milkman to the children's homage.
Minutes later they arrived at the homage and were permitted to get a bed to carry out treatment. The man carefully lay Estadey on the bed.
"Good work for a milkman like you."the doctor complimented him with a smug face. The man scoffed."I'm not a milkman Alex."he said. "Oh! so what do you supply then?"he firmly asked. The man briefly stared at him before averting his gaze.
"What's wrong with the girl Alex ?"he asked.Alex tiredly sighed.Hand me my medical kit. Jin handed it to him then opened the medical kit and taking out a small piece of cloth.
His eyes scanned the room for something to hold in water and found a half bucket of water.He strode across the room and took the bucket. "What's that for ?"Alex asked.
"Her wound."he replied.
"No need to bother,I'll do it."Alex said as he was getting some dry herbs from his kit and sprinkled some in the water."It's fine,let me help."he insisted.
Alex's heart started beating faster when he saw Jin's gentle smile and his ocean blue eyes that gazed directly at him.
Seeing how Jin helped wipe off the dried up blood on Estadey's face and clean her wound,made him unconsciously smile. Jin always made him feel like love sick child. After his quiet admiration,he saw her face.
Alex gasped,his eyes widened, not in shock but in surprise. "What ?" Jin asked.
"I've seen this girl from somewhere, no ,not even that, I met her earlier this afternoon. " Alex's said.
"Nobody cares Alex ,just treat her already. " Jin brushed off the doctor's meaningless nostalgia.
Alex tended to her body's reaction to some herbal needles and carried out more tests on her.
Estadey slowly stirred to consciousness. Her body ached a lot. She was lying in bed .
"Where am I ?" she wondered .
Picturing in her surroundings she found herself in a cramped up room.
Suddenly she heard a loud bang on the door followed by several others. They were so loud and even heavily hit on the door as if wanting to break it down.
The air in the room started to suffocate her.A thick scent of fresh blood filled the room.Her pulse quickened. Whispers of help filled her ears ,the loud banging still continued, the whispers were endless.
The ache in her body started increasing. Estadey tried to get out of bed but her body felt like it weighed a hundred bags of rocks.Her muscles tensed as soon as the door slowly screeched wide open.
Her eyes widened in disbelief when there was nobody in the door way but she still felt a strong presence like someone was watching her. Despite struggling to get out of the bed ,nothing happened.
When the presence finally disappeared, she was able to slowly get off the small bed.Even though her body felt like she was trampled on by a thousand horses but she didn't see any bruises.
Every step she took nearing to the door felt like gravity was putting a crushing pressure on her body but with great difficulty, Estadey was able to step out of the room.
Upon leaving the room,what she saw outside left her jaw hanging for seconds before closing her mouth. There was a huge blood red lavishly designed mansion before her eyes.
It was nothing like the cramped up room she left. Even though her body still ached, she focused on escaping first.
