Chapter 319 - GAM Ch 319: Mermaids Poop Here — Hard Pass

So many magical creatures.

Aside from a few rare and hard to find ones, the rest were all highly poisonous.

Garfield glanced at the centaur prophet Windrunner's expression and whispered, "Are these things poisonous?"

Windrunner nodded.

"Yes, some are highly poisonous.

But they are all rare potion ingredients or magical items, quite valuable."

"Here you go," Garfield said nonchalantly, pulling out a stack of cat paw gold bricks.

"These are for you.

Broaden your horizons.

Do not look like you have never seen anything like this before.

Asgard is full of these things."

Odin had acquired a lot of gold from the Nine Realms.

He was initially smug, thinking it was valuable.

But as he delved deeper into the universe, he discovered that these things were just a pile of unwanted metal.

Truly worthless.

He was furious and decisively melted down the gold decorations for Asgard.

Since he had nowhere else to use the rest, he simply distributed it to his own territory.

After confirming that Garfield intended to give them these items, Hurricane quickly found several strong centaurs to take the prey away.

The gold was entrusted to their chieftain, Hurricane, for safekeeping.

With this large sum of money, their tribe would not have to worry about food for the winter.

They could also reduce their hunting of certain dangerous magical creatures.

The edible magical creatures brought by their new god were cleaned by some female centaurs and placed on the grill to be baptized by the fire, ultimately becoming food.

Faced with the abundant food, the centaur Hurricane tribe sang and danced, a scene of joy and peace.

They sang ancient, unknown songs.

"In ancient times, a powerful mage descended upon the land.

With a wave of her hand, she subdued the dragon.

She helped the legendary king mend his bloodline.

She helped the king ascend the throne.

She helped four sages build the castle.

With her help, the castle became a wizard's paradise."

In the unique humming melody, Garfield sensed many stories hidden within these words.

A powerful mage.

Subduing a dragon.

Helping a king.

As for the British royal family, he, a commoner, only knew one Arthur.

As for the four founders, could they be Salazar Slytherin, Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, and Rowena Ravenclaw?

Garfield rubbed his chin, wondering if he had somehow traveled through time again.

Then, thinking carefully, the song mentioned a female mage.

Could it be his own Godzilla that had wandered off into the wild?

So Garfield beckoned Windrunner to his side and asked, "When did this song come about?

And what do you say this so called sorceress looks like?"

Windrunner thought for a moment and replied, "Your Highness, legend says this sorceress has white hair."

Garfield asked, "Anything else?"

Windrunner said, "Nothing else."

Garfield said, "That is possible."

Windrunner insisted, "No, really."

What kind of information was that?

Just one white haired character?

There were tons of white haired characters.

Kakashi's family all had white hair.

There was Storm.

And even more in other comics.

It seemed there were some white haired characters in the Marvel Universe too.

By the way, Grindelwald also had white hair now.

When he was young, his hair was black.

As for why it turned white, besides getting older, it was also to highlight his unique status.

Garfield realized he was getting a bit carried away.

He did not know about the centaurs' song, but maybe he could go to Hogwarts and ask the Sorting Hat.

That hat was over a thousand years old.

Gryffindor left behind two things.

The Sorting Hat for public use, and the Gryffindor Sword, which only those with the courage recognized by Gryffindor could pull from it.

Salazar Slytherin seemed a bit too straightforward, not as clever as Gryffindor.

Gryffindor left behind a gleaming golden sword.

Salazar Slytherin threw a basilisk under the castle.

The whole idea of cleansing those who are not qualified was just him fooling people or some time traveler spouting nonsense.

Otherwise, the basilisk would have been killing people long ago over a thousand years ago.

The basilisk's cave exit was at the bottom of the lake, proving that the mermaids in the lake knew something.

These creatures had not told the Hogwarts teachers or headmaster.

Their lineage had survived for so long, proving that the basilisk would not have come out to do anything bad if it were not for Tom Riddle, little Voldemort's, meddling.

Voldemort.

It was all your fault.

Garfield did not find anything special in the centaur village.

He just grabbed some food and left.

He was completely unaware that after he flew back to the castle, the centaur Hurricane tribe had made a statue of him and started worshipping him alongside Odin.

Back at Hogwarts, Garfield had almost forgotten the songs and legends.

He wandered around the school a few times, listening to lectures by teachers like McGonagall and Dumbledore.

He casually checked out the lake near the entrance to see what fish were edible.

Suddenly remembering how mermaids ate, drank, and relieved themselves in the water, Garfield decided against it.

He gave up on the lake fish.

Where to go?

Hogsmeade.

As one of the earliest and still one of the few remaining pure wizarding villages in England, it might have some interesting places.

The Shrieking Shack was currently a wizarding residence, inhabited by an ordinary wizarding family, since Lupin had not started school yet.

There was Honeydukes Sweet Shop, Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop, Hogsmeade Railway Station, the Three Broomsticks, and the Hog's Head.

The Hog's Head was a gathering place for a rabble of different characters.

It had existed for centuries.

This narrow, filthy little pub, hundreds of years old, sat on a corner of the main road in Hogsmeade Village.

Thick grime covered the windows, letting in almost no light.

Candles flickered on the rough wooden tables.

Everything felt filthy, as if it had never been cleaned.

Dust and dirt were everywhere.

Compared to the Three Broomsticks, it was not only dirtier and cheaper, but it also attracted more interesting and eccentric customers.

The entire pub consisted of a small, dirty room, filled with a strange, indescribable stench.

Sweat mixed with cheap perfumes, potions, and other substances.

Entering the Hog's Head did not violate Hogwarts' rules.

Students were told before entering that it was best to bring your own cup if you were going to drink inside.

Flitwick repeatedly reminded Hermione to bring her own cup to the Hog's Head.

At the Hog's Head, hiding your face seemed to be quite fashionable.

You could wear a hood or veil as a form of self protection.

Hagrid's eight eyed spider, dragon eggs, and Cerberus all came from here.

Standing at the bar's entrance, Garfield cast several protective spells on himself before pushing open the door and going inside.
