(Mirael's POV)
I release my magical Force, letting it ripple softly through the massive stone corridors of the palace to find Master Aerynthar's unique magical signature.
But it's not here. I stop mid-step in the grand hallway, the cold floor biting at my boots. The master isn't in the palace. Where could he have gone without telling me?
I hurry all the way down to the heavy palace gates, my heart pounding against my ribs. I look up at the giant, armored knights guarding the entrance. "Mister, did you see Master Aerynthar?"
The knights share quick glances, murmuring among themselves and asking if anyone had seen him leave. Finally, one of them looks down at me. "It seems Scion Aerynthar left a while ago for one of the storage fridge's cooling maintenance checks. Is there an urgent matter, The Rising Flame?"
"Yes! Can you please prepare a carriage for me to go there?" I ask, my voice sounding a little too desperate.
