The sun had long since dipped below the New York skyline, leaving the city bathed in the artificial glow of millions of neon lights and street lamps. For Gwen Stacy, the conclusion of another day didn't mean rest; it meant the transition from one demanding life to another. She had just finished an grueling session at the Celestial Industrial Park, where Peter had pushed her physical limits further than she ever thought possible.

As she slipped through the front door of her home, the familiar scent of her mother's cooking and the low hum of the evening news greeted her. She moved with a practiced, silent grace, heading straight for her room.

"Gwen? Is that you?" her mother, Helen, called out from the kitchen.

"Yeah, Mom! Just heading up to start on next semester's advanced physics prep!" Gwen replied, her voice steady despite her racing heart.

"Don't stay up too late, honey!"

"I won't!"

Closing her bedroom door, Gwen heard the soft click of the lock—a sound that provided a fleeting sense of security. She knew she had to be impeccable. Her father, George Stacy, wasn't just any dad; he was the Director of the NYPD. His life was built on detecting lies, spotting inconsistencies, and tracking down the truth. Even the smallest slip—a stray white thread from her suit or an unexplained bruise—could lead to an interrogation she wasn't ready for. It was this constant pressure that had forged Gwen into a master of operational discipline.

The Mirror of a Miracle

Gwen shed her civilian clothes with efficient movements. In their place, the pure white, sleek fabric of her Spider-Woman suit slid over her skin. She pulled the hood up and stood before the full-length mirror, taking a moment to breathe and center herself.

She began to inspect her reflection with a critical eye. The training at Celestial was paying off in visible ways. Her muscle lines were no longer just lean; they were fluid and defined, possessing a density that spoke of hidden power. Every movement felt more explosive, every sense more attuned to the world around her.

"Deep Blue," she whispered, her voice barely a breath. "Run the biometric comparison from today's final rep."

A soft chime sounded in her ear, and a holographic interface—visible only to her through the lenses of her mask—projected a set of data points.

Biometric Progress Report: Subject Gwen Stacy

Initial Baseline (Post-Bite): 18 tons

Current Maximum Output: 22 tons

Parallel Universe Average (Spider-Class): 20 tons

Among the vast tapestry of the Multiverse, the average strength of a Spider-powered individual hovered around the 20-ton mark. As a female variant, Gwen had initially started at a disadvantage compared to the standard male Spider-Man. But through a regimen of "over-discipline" and Peter's advanced training protocols, she had achieved the impossible. She hadn't just closed the gap; she had surpassed the average.

"Excellent," she murmured, a small, determined smile touching her lips. "Keep up the hard work, Gwen Stacy. Your path is still long, and Peter is moving faster every day. You can't let him leave you in the dust."

This was her primary motivation. It wasn't just about fighting crime; it was about being a partner who could stand beside Peter Parker, rather than a shadow following behind him. This drive allowed her to endure the tears, the muscle tremors, and the exhaustion that came with her "overly disciplined" lifestyle.

The Silent Partner

After a series of high-intensity warm-up stretches that would have snapped a normal athlete's bones, Gwen flipped gracefully to the edge of her window. With a practiced flick of her wrist, a strand of high-tensile webbing shot out, anchoring itself to a distant chimney. She launched herself into the night, the cool breeze whistling past her ears.

"Deep Blue! I'm bothering you again!" she called out as she soared between buildings.

"Good evening, Miss Gwen," the AI's voice responded instantly. Peter's latest micro-communicator—no larger than a button battery and hidden perfectly in her ear—provided crystal-clear audio with zero latency. "Deep Blue is always willing to assist Spider-Woman."

"Good evening, Deep Blue! I need a target. Find me the nearest crime in progress."

"Scanning now, Miss Gwen. Intercepting NYPD frequencies and analyzing live feeds from the 10th District... Found. Three kilometers from your current position, Apartment 2501, 60 Mondite Avenue. A home invasion robbery is currently in progress. Two adult males, heavily suspected of carrying firearms. Please proceed with caution."

"On it! Thanks, Deep Blue!"

Gwen pulled hard on the web line, her enhanced muscles coiling and releasing with incredible force. She doubled her speed, transforming into a white streak of light against the dark sky. This was the true power of Peter's technology. By allowing Deep Blue to bridge the gap between information and action, Spider-Woman's efficiency was reaching levels that made the New York underworld whisper her name in fear.

Moonlight Justice at Mondite Avenue

She arrived at the Mondite Avenue apartment in under a minute. Perched silently on the brickwork outside the window of unit 2501, she looked inside. The scene was grim. Two burly men were tearing the place apart, tossing drawers and smashing lamps in a frantic search for valuables.

In the corner, a mother sat on the floor, her arms wrapped tightly around her five-year-old son. She was shielding him with her own body, her eyes wide with terror as the robbers occasionally cast predatory, lewd glances toward her.

"Hey!" Gwen's voice drifted in through the open window, calm and sharp. "Can you two be a bit more professional? You're so focused on the loot you've completely ignored your surroundings."

The robbers jumped, nearly dropping their bags. They whirled around to see the slender, white-clad figure elegantly perched on the windowsill, bathed in the moonlight. To them, she looked like a moonlit elf, but the fear in their eyes proved they knew exactly who she was.

"What the hell?! It's Spider-Woman! Kill her!"

They didn't hesitate. Both men drew pistols and frantically emptied their magazines. The roar of gunfire filled the small apartment, but Gwen wasn't there. She moved like a ghost, her "disciplined" footwork allowing her to weave through the path of the bullets in the confined space.

Before the last shell casing had even hit the floor, Gwen appeared in front of them. With two swift, calculated kicks, she swept their legs out from under them. As they hit the ground, she grabbed their shoulders.

Crunch.

With a precise burst of strength, she dislocated both their arms simultaneously. The men let out agonized, pig-like screams that were cut short when Gwen delivered two sharp strikes to their chins, sending them into instant unconsciousness. She didn't even use a drop of web fluid; she didn't need to.

The mother and son burst into tears of relief. The little boy looked at Gwen with absolute adoration. He reached behind him, pulled out a battered Spider-Woman mask, and slid it onto his face. He made the signature web-shooting gesture with his small hand.

Gwen felt a warmth spread through her chest. This was why she did it. To protect the innocence of children and the safety of the kind-hearted. She gave the boy a thumbs-up and whispered, "Nice shot, kid," before leaping back out into the night.

Minutes later, a squad of NYPD officers burst through the door, weapons drawn. They found the mother and child safe and two unconscious criminals whose arms were hanging at impossible angles. The officers exchanged awkward glances, feeling the embarrassment of arriving only to find the "cleanup" already done.

The Old Man in the Green Hat

Gwen continued her patrol for several more hours, successfully stopping a motorcycle theft, breaking up a violent brawl outside a bar, and assisting firefighters with an evacuation. As the clock neared 2:00 AM, she paused on a stone sculpture atop a skyscraper to catch her breath.

Suddenly, Deep Blue's voice crackled. "Gwen! One block away, four Hand ninjas have been spotted. They are actively pursuing a target."

"The Hand?" Gwen narrowed her eyes. She hadn't seen them since the incident in Miles's universe. "I'm on my way."

She arrived at the alley to see four red-clad ninjas cornering a thin, capable-looking old man. He wore a dark green hat, a matching jacket, and sunglasses. He leaned on a simple blind man's cane.

"Is that a blind man?" Gwen thought, her instincts flaring. She decided to wait and see, staying hidden in the shadows.

The old man pulled his cane apart, revealing a two-meter-long staff. As the ninjas lunged with their katanas, the old man shifted into a perfect horse stance.

Thump!

He tapped the staff on the ground, and a powerful gust of air erupted, sending the ninjas flying back. He leaped into the air with a speed that defied his age, his staff becoming a blur of shadows. In mid-air, he struck each of them with lethal precision. As they hit the ground, they disintegrated into piles of gray dust.

"Youngster..." the old man said, his voice gravelly as he looked directly at the shadow where Gwen was hidden. "How long are you planning to watch?"

Gwen's heart skipped a beat. She had never been detected while in stealth before. She landed in front of him, noting that her Spider-Sense remained silent. "You found me? Most people can't."

"I have my ways," the man replied. "They call me Stick. And you... you must be the Spider-Woman everyone's talking about."

Stick shared a chilling warning: The Hand was mobilizing. A massive influx of ninjas was flowing from Japan into New York, led by three elite upper ninjas. "They're planning something big," Stick warned before flipping over a wall and vanishing.

Gwen stood alone in the alley, a heavy sense of foreboding settling over her. If the Hand was moving, Kingpin was likely behind it. She didn't waste another second; she turned and headed straight for the Celestial Industrial Park. Peter needed to know.
