I delved into work immediately when I got on the plane.
To be honest– to Russia set the tone for the rest of my business year,the deals that are secured there are delicate and strategic.
She was going to be a huge distraction and with the likes of Kai and this newly befriended trafficker–I couldn't exactly afford having her walking around like she didn't know how much her proximity to me drove me to madness.
And what's worse than putting her into the sights of men like my business partners.
Was this me trying to console myself from my apparent rejection?
Yes,yes it was.
But there was a good side to it though,no one would see our interactions and pin point her as a weakness in me,after all that's how I got her from her father.
The flight attendant brought me coffee and I gestured her to place it down.
She obliged and smiled warmly at me,a smile so warm it bypassed cordiality and professionalism.
