Chapter Eighty-Four -
Lumiere's POV
The guards had been bound to a tree. Esmeralda glared at me as I approached.
I saw the man beside her. For a split second, I regretted everything I had said about the rogue's son. He was far from being a helpless child.
He was at least a Beta Rank. He stood protectively behind Esmeralda and I could guess it was because she made him not act.
"My apologies, Esmeralda. I gave the order before hearing your explanation. That's why this happened."
Her glare faltered for a second, then she looked away. I still felt better when she breathed out, as if letting go of the anger she held.
The panther she sat on growled at me and I glanced at it. I shouldn't ask many questions about that.
"I will send them back." I told Wraven, who bound them to a tree. He nodded, tapping the tree. The root left the ground and floated above Johan.
