"Huh? Hmmm? What?"
Vermur squinted his in frustration as he looked up and down at status window.
He scratched and groaned in annoyance as he remembered that he himself was thinner on knowledge than the air itself.
*Sigh.
Vermur sighed as then sat down cross-legged as he looked back at the status window.
He understood that at least his name was there, but had no idea about what the rest were.
"Uhhh, voice?"
[Yes, Master Vermur.]
"What am I looking at?"
[You are looking at your status window.]
"What's that?"
[The status window is a holographic screen that displays character information about someone. And this case you.]
"Mhm, mhm, mhm..."
He nodded with a sarcastic understanding frown and pointed at the status window and said, "Then... is that thing a holographic screen?"
[Yes.]
"Mhm... why is it here again?"
[To display Master Vermur's character information so as for Master Vermur to make analysis and make the necessary adjustments needed to progress in the Dreamscape.]
"What's that?"
[The Dreamscape is the land of conscious dreams. A place where reality and desires endlessly clash for domination of those who reside within.]
"I dont get it..." Vermur said, his face masked with the pure confusion that he awoke with from the start of all this.
[....To put in simpler terms, you are in a place where dreams are what make people and where reality tries to end or consume them.]
"Still don't get it."
[The dreamscape is the highest level of a dream. Where people who can use powers here constantly battle, claim, grow and play as they ascend through the dream trails in order to achieve Perfect Sleep.]
"Yahhh, you lost me with word dreamscape buddy." He said as his eyes flashed open in slight shock as he looked at the status window and said, "What is your name? Do you have one?"
Soon after, a eerie silence hang in the air as Vermur's brows furrowed in curious confusion. He didn't panic like before. He didn't need to. So as long as he called upon 'that' name. He was assured that the voice would always come back to him.
His head slowly fell downwards as his gaze fell on the dark gray ground beneath him as he stroked his chin out of pure habit. Something he didn't know how to do yet followed his body if it did instinctively as he thought, 'Wait a minute, could that the voice is...'
He bit his lip front the right as his brows furrowed even deeper as they then suddenly shot upwards along with beady almond eyes as hus head shot upwards and he said, "Hey voice, are you-"
[I am Pyxlus. Master Vermur.]
"Oh..... so, your not-"
[Yes, I am not Him. Rather one who serves another who serves under Him. Under God.]
[So please do not confuse us Master.]
Vermur, being the little amnesiac boy he was barely understood many things. His purpose. His body. How it worked. How anything worked. What anything meant and yet... in that moment when he heard that statement. He nodded. Not sarcastically or playfully as he might've done before.
He slight frown tugged at the corner if his left lip and soon shook his head as his his face lit brightly with determination.
But why? It was simple really. For this was a goal that he long manifested in his mind before he actually understood what he was doing. From the moment he freed himself. To now having escaped that beast... well at least for now... his number one goal was to...
"Oh yah, I almost forgot... that, I gotta have it all." He said his stretched towards the entrance of this small cave anfld further towards the golden bronze hue of the sky that stretched before him endlessly. Not knowinguch about it or what it would take to have it but... he would do anything to have something as beautiful as that sky. The sky that bore many unknown beauties and wonders.
And how was he to obtain them? Well, that answer was simple. Firstly, he needed to move in order to find them.
Secondly, he needed the man power to survive alone. Why though? Because from what he could muster up in his mind. Was that if he moved with others... they might take interest in the beautiful things that he wanted abd might try to take them from. So, he saud no. And made the choice that strength first and then... he'd have it all. All the beautiful things.
And finally, in order to do all that. He really. Really needed all his brains or sense or knowledge or whatever the heck that was back.
So that he could advance without limitation.
But...
"Ahhhh, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no!"
[What maybe the issue now, Master Vermur?]
"Uhhh, voi- I mean... Pyxlusss."
"Pyxlusss, that's your name right?"
[Yes.]
"Yah, I wanna get out of here, but..."
[But?]
"I don't know anything... or whatever any words mea-he-he-heennn."
Vermur groveled as his nearest that of a cry. But pyxlus was there to save the day.
[Would you like me to find the problem?]
"Sniff, sniff. You... you c-c-can?"
[Yes, all you have to do is ask to do so. And your wish shall responded to equally.]
"Then, yes. Please do."
'Hold up, what does please me-"
[Master Vermur has granted permission for an Error Check.]
[Please wait for two to three minutes before Check is fully complete.]
[3, 2, 1. Initiating Error Check.]
