Shuu was still just as light as before. Kaiden pulled his body into his arms and started to walk back toward the exit.
But the exit was nowhere to be found when he got back. The space had swallowed the exit, and he could tell that trying to break the dimension from where he was standing was likely not a feasible option.
"Looks like the trick is a useful one to trap us in here. But that's fine. If I cannot use this exit, I will find a new one."
The dungeon had an exit, and it was where Kaiden could sense monsters gathering. It was time for him to fight his way through.
His body was starting to protest, wanting relief of some kind. It was a fatigue that was unique to this world, and for the first time, Kaiden started to experience symptoms of an esper's toxin.
"It must be the unique presence of this place that is making my body feel heavier than it actually is. This is a bad feeling, and I can see why people easily lose their minds over such a thing."
