I set the whetstone on the nightstand and stood up. "Bring it up here."
Minsoo pushed the door open, carrying a heavy rectangular wooden crate under his left arm. The crate was wrapped in thick oilcloth, bound tightly with brass-buckled straps. The burned stamp of a frost-covered oak leaf showed clearly on the front panel.
"The delivery guy didn't stay to sign the receipt," Minsoo said, setting the crate down on my wooden table. "He just handed it over at the desk and ran back toward the transfer portal like his boots were on fire."
"The Northern Alliance rankers hate staying on the first floor," I said, unbuckling the top strap. "The heat down here makes their passive frost buffs drop by ten percent."
I unhooked the brass latches and pulled open the wooden lid.
