How has everything gotten this serious?! "Master! Where the hell should I run to?...And who's Umu!".
Master Dell pulls his staff out of the villagers stomach and dashes back beside Yori.
"I'll make sure you leave this village well informed. This villager was turned recently but has been working with vampires for a very long time. Haven't you, Himunzowa!?", Master Dell declares.
Himunzowa covers the hole on his stomach with his hand, "Hehehe, so you've known this whole time huh?", he rips his shirt off. His body looks sturdier, even his eyes are getting bloodshot. "There's one thing you wouldn't have guessed..."
"I was their leader!".
"Himunzowa!", Master looks angry but I don't see how I can get out of my room. And this villager... I'm getting nauseous just from standing in the same room as him. "Yori, stay close. We'll attack him together".
"Master...", Sounds like he can't do this alone. "Ready when you are".
Master Dell bolts forward with his staff, "You know that didn't work the first time!".
The villager shifts to the side, dodging
"You're dangerously cunning", I rushes towards Master Dell. He can see the villagers next move.
"Yori stay back!".
Yori kicks away his arm in time and barely dodges a claw counter. The villager now stands between Master Dell and Yori. Seeming outnumbered, he rushes towards Master Dell.
"None of you can handle me!", boasts Himunzowa.
Master Dell guards with his staff, " Who gave you the enchant of protection from the sun?", Himunzowa immediately shifts to Master Dell's side; dodging Yori's attack from behind.
Himunzowa stumbles on one knee. "Before me stands the master from The Faith and the slave beast of the village", he repositions himself, "Even so! Will you be able to slaughter the one's you swore to protect?".
"Everyone! Run away! There's vampires!", warned a loud voice outside with many more joining in.
"The time for interrogations has long passed", declares Master Dell. He faces Yori. "I'll hold him here; you get up there and stop whatever he's brought here"-
"Brought?" , Himunzowa interjects. "My family are members of this place even more so than that human shaped demon!".
Master Dell bolts with his staff again.
Yori runs at full speed behind him, "Again with the same tactic! Very"-
Himunzowa is pinned into the wall by his shoulder; cracks spread through the entire room from the impact. He grits his teeth to mask his pain but ends up coughing out a mouthful of grey blood.
Yori speeds passed them through what was his door. Before he even reaches the barn, the scent of burning villagers attacks his nose. He covers his hand over his nose and continues running towards the sound of the villagers.
The town is over run by smoke of the burning homes. I can't see all that well but this smoke is making it even harder. What?
I hear screaming! There it is, I caught the scent of blood!
Yori rushes at full speed; his claws marking the sand he leaves behind as his senses lead the way. The thickening scent of burning and dried blood makes his heart restless. As the mist of ash lightens, his instincts scream at him that something ahead of him is watching him.
And... in an instant he sees, smells and hears something of exaggeratedly grotesque proportions.
The scent of the villager, why is it on that little girl? Why isn't she moving? And who's that next to her? Why is she eating her? Why is the little girl being eaten!?
Before his eyes stood a woman, her body constantly being devoured by flames. She took notice of him and tosses aside the child she was feasting on.
"Why would you do that!?", Yori probes.
She sprints towards him claws and fangs in display screaming in pain. Whilst Yori runs towards her.
As they reach each other; Yori kicks her legs setting her off balance and as she falls Yori blasts a fist into her gut sending her plummeting away in a house several meters away.
Yori then rushes towards the young child seeing if there's anything he could do.
'I have awful sight. I couldn't see this. That woman! She ate this much of her. How could she?!' He thinks to himself after seeing her condition.
Yori's body then violently pulses from anger. He tugs with both hands at the silver collar on his neck almost cracking it then let's out a deafening howl out of grief.
The villagers who see him run with their children into the clearing away from the burning homes. Each breath carrying a heavy growl as Yori walks towards where he kicked the woman.
Reaching her, he notices tears falling from her eyes that evaporate before they reach her chin and in a dry and mournful voice, she says, "Please kill me".
Hearing her, his anger almost entirely subsides.
"Please kill me", she begs again. She then stands up and begins to walk towards Yori, her body no longer consumed by flame but covered with cracks. One of her arms already withered away. Her legs both crumble before she reaches him but Yori catches her in his arms. She faces him and admits, "The child I consumed, under the influence of this poison...was my own daughter".
