The initial plan for us was to board a chartered plane to head towards Sydney… But it seems that plan had to be changed.
The aircraft that was supposed to be used for us ended up getting grounded in another airport because of a typhoon that was currently blowing through that country and thus could not reach us in time.
And since there were no other available planes that could be rerouted in such a short notice, we had to take a commercial flight there instead.
Thankfully, there were still seats available on one of the flights to Sydney and Olivia helped arrange for us to be its passengers.
But that would mean that we had to take the plane alongside other people and while the option was floated to have the seats cancelled for everyone else to have the plane for ourselves, I decided against it since I didn't want to inconvenience everyone else just for me.
