Alex was stumped by the question, speechless for a moment. In the eyes of others, he was a person living a single life, completely single!
Could he possibly answer Susan that in that room lived an Angel—or rather, a walking skeleton? If the little girl heard "Angel," wouldn't she be even more curious? Children at this age were the masters of curiosity.
For a moment, Alex felt he was somewhat dropping a rock on his own foot, cold sweat beginning to pour out.
He looked at Susan, wanting to explain, but not knowing how to explain it reasonably without scaring the little girl.
"That room hasn't been cleaned up yet, it's very messy, and dusty too," Alex lied, trying his best to keep his expression as natural as possible.
